Please pray that I experience a sense of God's forgiveness for a sin committed 17 years when, in a dry spell in my marriage, I had two affairs. I recently confessed to my life who said she hasn't forgiven me, but I can't feel God's forgiveness or forgive myself.

If you asked God for forgiveness of this and are truly repentant, He has forgiven you. I pray that God will help you to stop beating yourself up over it and to accept his forgiveness. Since you have asked for forgiveness and God HAS forgiven you , then it is a done deal , by not forgiving yourself you are saying that what God did was not enough to cover your sins , you have to believe that Jesus did EVERYTHING that you will ever need on the cross , you are now an overcomer in Christ Jesus !
