Please pray that I experience a sense of God's forgiveness for a sin committed 17 years ago when, in a dry spell in my marriage, I had two affairs. I recently confessed to my life partner who said she hasn't forgiven me, but I can't feel God's forgiveness or forgive myself.

If you asked God for forgiveness of this and are truly repentant, He has forgiven you. I pray that God will help you to stop beating yourself up over it and to accept His forgiveness. Since you have asked for forgiveness and God HAS forgiven you, then it is a done deal, by not forgiving yourself you are saying that what God did was not enough to cover your sins, you have to believe that Jesus did EVERYTHING that you will ever need on the cross, you are now an overcomer in Christ Jesus!
