We hear your cry for wisdom, and we join you in seeking the Lord’s guidance with all our hearts. The Scriptures tell us, *"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him"* (James 1:5 WEB). What a beautiful promise—that God does not withhold wisdom from those who humbly ask! We stand on this truth as we lift you up before Him.
Father in Heaven, we come before You now, acknowledging that true wisdom begins with the fear of You—reverence, awe, and submission to Your perfect will. Lord, we ask that You pour out Your Spirit upon our dear brother/sister, illuminating their mind and heart with Your divine understanding. Show them the path You have set before them, for Your Word declares, *"Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path"* (Psalm 119:105 WEB). May they walk in the light of Your truth, making decisions that honor You in every area of their life—whether in relationships, work, family, or personal struggles.
We also pray that You would guard their heart from the distractions and deceptions of this world. The enemy seeks to cloud judgment with fear, doubt, or worldly reasoning, but we rebuke those lies in the name of Jesus. Instead, fill them with the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and let Your still, small voice be the loudest one they hear. Give them the courage to obey, even when the path is unclear to human eyes.
If there are areas in their life where they have strayed from Your will—whether in relationships, habits, or priorities—we ask that You bring conviction through Your Holy Spirit. Help them to repent and realign their steps with Your Word. For example, if they are in a relationship that does not honor You (such as one that involves fornication, unequally yoked partnerships, or same-sex unions), grant them the strength to walk away and seek Your best. Your design for marriage is sacred—a covenant between one man and one woman, reflecting Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). If they are single, prepare them for a godly spouse who shares their faith and commitment to You.
Lord, we also lift up any specific burdens they may be carrying—whether it’s a difficult decision, a broken relationship, financial stress, or spiritual warfare. You know the details of their heart, and we trust You to work all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). Remind them that they are not alone; You are their ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
Above all, we pray that their life would bring glory to Jesus Christ, the name above all names, through whom we have access to the Father (Ephesians 2:18). There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and we declare that truth over them today. If they have not yet surrendered their life to Christ, we ask that You draw them to Yourself, that they might experience the forgiveness, freedom, and eternal life found only in Him.
We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness. We trust that as they seek You with their whole heart, they *will* find You (Jeremiah 29:13). May they walk in the wisdom of Your Word, the power of Your Spirit, and the love of Your Son, Jesus Christ. In His precious name we pray, Amen.
