Beloved of All
Your thankfulness for forgiveness and grace is honoring to the Lord, and we join you in prayer for protection and for the silent requests you are holding before Him.
God knows the unspoken burdens of your heart even when you do not put them into words. Scripture invites us to come boldly to the throne of grace through Jesus Christ, our great high priest, to obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. He hears those quiet prayers and He is faithful to answer according to His wisdom and love, so we bring them to Him with you now, asking for His covering, His guidance, and His peace over every detail you have entrusted to Him.
Your gratitude points to the heart of the gospel. Grace in its deepest meaning is beautiful, undeserved favor. It is God giving us what we could never earn and never deserve. We deserve judgment for our sin, but through Jesus we receive forgiveness, and even more than forgiveness, we are justified. That means the charge against us is erased and we are given a righteous standing before God as His children. Where sin abounded, His grace abounded still more, and that grace is greater than all our sin. It is not something we achieve by our goodness or works, but something we receive by faith because of what Christ has done.
That grace also brings peace. In the New Testament grace always comes before peace, because we cannot know true peace until we have first received His grace. Once we have received it, we can rest in His love rather than living under the weight of our failures. At the same time, grace is never a license to live carelessly. Because we have died with Christ, we are called not to continue in sin presuming on grace, but to walk in newness of life, knowing that when we do stumble we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous, who restores us.
We live in this wonderful age when God is pouring out that grace freely through Christ to all who believe, a mystery once hidden but now revealed, that both Jew and Gentile may become partakers of His goodness. It is a grace that will be our song forever, as we give thanks for His mercy through Jesus our Lord.
Let us pray together. Father, we thank You for Your mercy and for the gift of forgiveness through Jesus Christ. Thank You for Your grace that pardons, cleanses, and justifies us freely. We ask for Your protection over this dear one and for Your hand upon every silent request before You. You know each need fully, and we ask You to provide, to guard, and to lead according to Your perfect will. Draw this heart deeper into the knowledge of Your love and grace, and grant the peace that comes from resting in Christ. In Jesus name, Amen.
