We hear your heart’s desire to generously provide for others, and we join you in lifting this matter before the Lord. Scripture reminds us in Proverbs 19:17 that "he who has pity on the poor lends to Yahweh; he will reward him." Your willingness to seek ways to increase your resources for the sake of helping those in need is a beautiful reflection of God’s love. We believe the Lord honors such a selfless spirit and will open doors for you to prosper in ways that align with His will.
However, we must also remind you—and ourselves—that our ultimate trust must be in God’s provision, not in our own efforts alone. The apostle Paul writes in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." While it is wise and godly to seek honest work and stewardship, we must guard against anxiety or placing our hope in wealth itself. Jesus warns in Matthew 6:19-21, "Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven... For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
We encourage you to seek the Lord’s guidance in how He may be calling you to serve others—not just through financial means, but through your time, talents, and testimony. Sometimes the greatest blessings come not from what we earn, but from how we give of ourselves. Consider Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who desires to be a vessel of Your provision for others. Lord, You see their heart and their willingness to be used for Your glory. We ask that You open doors of opportunity for them to increase their resources in ways that honor You—through honest work, creativity, and wisdom. May they not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, they will reap if they do not faint (Galatians 6:9).
Father, guard their heart against the love of money or the temptation to rely on their own strength. Remind them that true riches are found in You and in the treasure of a heart that seeks first Your kingdom (Matthew 6:33). Give them discernment to recognize the needs around them and the courage to act in obedience to Your leading. Whether You call them to give financially, serve with their hands, or share the hope of the Gospel, may they do so with joy and faith.
We also pray for those they wish to help—that You would meet their needs in ways that draw them closer to You. May this desire to bless others be a testimony of Your love and provision in their life. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who gave everything so that we might live abundantly and share that abundance with others. Amen.
