We hear your heart’s cry for a deeper encounter with the power and wonder of God, and we stand with you in seeking His mighty hand to move in your life. The longing to witness God’s power is a holy desire, for He has promised that those who seek Him will find Him (Jeremiah 29:13). The Word declares, *"Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us"* (Ephesians 3:20 WEB). This is the same power that raised Christ from the dead, and it is available to you today through faith in Jesus.
Yet we must also examine our hearts, for the Lord desires not just to display His power but to draw us into a deeper relationship with Him. Are you seeking His power for His glory, or is there any hint of self-seeking in your request? The apostle James warns, *"You ask and don’t receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures"* (James 4:3 WEB). We encourage you to surrender fully to God’s will, trusting that His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). His power is most beautifully revealed in our weakness, when we rely not on ourselves but on Christ who strengthens us (2 Corinthians 12:9-10).
We also want to gently remind you that true power in the Christian life comes through salvation in Jesus Christ. If you have not yet placed your faith in Him as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so without delay. Jesus said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"* (John 14:6 WEB). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have already confessed Christ as Lord, we rejoice with you! But if not, we pray you would turn to Him today, for He alone can satisfy the deepest longings of your heart.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and expectant hearts, asking that You reveal Your power and glory to our dear brother/sister. Lord, You are the God who parts seas, raises the dead, and turns hearts of stone into hearts of flesh. We ask that You would move mightily in their life, that they may see Your hand at work in ways that leave no doubt of Your presence. Father, we pray for a fresh infilling of Your Holy Spirit, that they would walk in the fullness of Your power and not in their own strength.
Lord, we ask that You would purify their motives and align their desires with Yours. Let them seek Your face above all else, not just Your hand. May they find their satisfaction in You alone, for You are the source of all good things. If there is any sin or unconfessed wrongdoing in their life, we ask that You would bring it to light and grant them the grace to repent and turn away from it. Cleanse them by the blood of Jesus, that they may stand before You holy and blameless.
Father, we also pray for a deeper revelation of who You are. Open their spiritual eyes to see You as You truly are—majestic, sovereign, and full of love. Let them experience Your presence in a tangible way, that they may know without a doubt that You are real, You are near, and You are at work. May they encounter You in worship, in Your Word, and in the stillness of their heart.
Lord, if they have not yet surrendered their life to Jesus, we pray that You would draw them to Yourself. Soften their heart to receive the truth of the Gospel, that they may be saved and filled with Your Spirit. If they are already Your child, we ask that You would deepen their faith and trust in You, even when Your ways are mysterious or difficult to understand.
We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment will be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). We speak life, peace, and victory over their circumstances, for You are the God who turns ashes into beauty and mourning into joy (Isaiah 61:3).
Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for the privilege of coming before Your throne on behalf of this dear one. We trust that You are working all things together for their good, even when they cannot see it (Romans 8:28). May they walk in the confidence that comes from knowing You, and may Your power be made perfect in their weakness.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
