Please pray for ###

We are praying for you and we thank you for sharing these needs so honestly. To say that things are just not good is a heavy place to be, and we want to bring your spiritual, physical, and financial burdens before the Lord together.

First, your spiritual need is the deepest one, and God has made full provision for it. The Scriptures describe sin as an incurable condition that no human effort can cleanse, but God provided the remedy in Jesus Christ. He alone is the provision for our sin, and through His suffering and death He made a way for cleansing and forgiveness. If you have trusted in Jesus, your soul is secure in Him, and if you are still seeking, we pray that you will turn to Him fully today, for there is no other way to be made right with God.

The Bible also shows that God cares for the body. When Matthew writes about Jesus healing the crowds who were brought to Him in the evening, those who were sick and those oppressed by evil spirits, he points to the prophet Isaiah and says this was to fulfill what was spoken, surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows. The word for griefs there can mean sicknesses and infirmities. Matthew understands the suffering of Christ to include both spiritual healing from sin and physical healing for the body. That is why when Jesus took bread and said this is my body which is broken for you, we remember that His body was given for our whole need. He has authority over the physical realm to heal disease, over the material realm to calm the wind and waves and to provide for daily needs, and over the spiritual realm to set us free.

We also want to encourage you not to carry false guilt about your hardships. It is wrong to assume that every physical or financial trial is a direct punishment for sin or a sign of weak faith. Jesus made clear that suffering can be a place where the works of God are displayed, and His purposes are often worked out through hardship in ways we cannot yet see. There is much about healing and provision that we do not understand. We believe God still heals, sometimes instantly, sometimes gradually through the natural processes He Himself created in the body, which are no less divine because they are natural. And we also know that not everyone is healed in the way or time we hope, and that mystery belongs to the Lord. We will not add to your burden by suggesting you lack faith.

Scripture does show a connection between the health of the soul and the health of the body. One of the apostles once wrote to a friend as a personal wish, I pray that you may prosper and be in good health even as your soul prospers. That was not written as a guaranteed promise for wealth or perfect health, but as a loving prayer, and it reflects a true principle that the condition of our inner life affects our outer life. A joyful heart is like good medicine, while anxiety and heaviness can wear down the body. So we pray for the prospering of your soul in Christ, for peace, hope, and renewed strength in Him, trusting that God will use that to bring refreshing to your whole person.

We are asking the Lord to meet you in each area you named. For your spiritual life, that you would know deeper fellowship with Jesus, assurance of forgiveness, and daily strength from His Word. For your physical needs, that He would touch your body according to His wisdom and mercy, whether through a sudden work or through gradual restoration, and give wisdom to any who care for you. For your financial needs, that He who knows every material need would provide, open doors, and give you wisdom and peace as you steward what you have.

We join with others who pray for the sick and needy, following the pattern of the early church in bringing needs before the Lord and asking our great Physician to do what only He can do. May the Lord lift you up, comfort you, and make His presence very real to you in these days. We continue to pray for you in Jesus name.
