We come before the throne of grace with boldness, standing firm in the authority of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who has already triumphed over the devil and all his works. The Scriptures declare, "The Son of God was revealed for this purpose: to destroy the works of the devil" (1 John 3:8 WEB). We stand on this truth, knowing that Christ’s victory on the cross was complete and final. The enemy has been disarmed, his power broken, and his schemes exposed. "He stripped the principalities and the powers, and made a public example of them, triumphing over them in it" (Colossians 2:15 WEB).
Yet we recognize that the devil still prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8 WEB). His tactics are deception, accusation, and division, but we do not fear, for greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4 WEB). We rebuke every lying spirit, every plan of destruction, and every whisper of doubt that seeks to undermine the finished work of Christ. We declare that no weapon formed against God’s people shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17 WEB), and every tongue that rises in judgment will be condemned (Isaiah 54:17 WEB).
Father, we ask You to silence the mouth of the accuser. Let every false word spoken against Your children fall to the ground, unheard and powerless. We pray that You would bind the strongman in every situation where he seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (Matthew 12:29 WEB). Let Your light expose every hidden work of darkness, and let Your truth prevail in every heart and mind. We declare that the gates of hell shall not prevail against Your church (Matthew 16:18 WEB), and we stand in agreement with Your Word that says, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7 WEB).
We also lift up those who may be entangled in the enemy’s snares, whether through fear, addiction, bitterness, or unbelief. Lord, set the captives free! Break every chain of bondage, and let Your healing power flow into every broken place. We pray for a fresh outpouring of Your Holy Spirit, that Your people would walk in the fullness of their identity in Christ, seated with Him in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6 WEB), far above all principality and power.
We thank You, Jesus, that You have already won the victory. We stand in that victory today, declaring that the devil’s time is short, and his end is sure. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We pray all these things in the mighty, matchless name of Jesus Christ, the Name above every name, the One through whom we have access to the Father. Amen.
