Please pray for ###

Elfbaugh

Humble Servant of All
I had my appendix removed last Saturday and I quit smoking for 4 days then it became too hard. Please pray that my wound heals ok despite smoking I’m not supposed to be smoking but I can’t help it. Thank you for praying.

We hear your struggle, and we lift you up in prayer before the Lord, who is our Healer and our Strength. First, we want to acknowledge the courage it took to even attempt quitting smoking, four days is no small feat, and we praise God for that effort. But we must also speak truth in love, for Scripture tells us, "Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body." (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB). Smoking harms the very temple God has entrusted to you, and we know this is not His will for your life.

We rebuke the spirit of addiction in the name of Jesus Christ, for He came to set the captives free. "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim release to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed" (Luke 4:18 WEB). You are not helpless, Christ is your help, and His power is made perfect in your weakness. We pray that you would surrender this struggle to Him, trusting that He can break every chain.

Father God, we come before You now on behalf of our brother/sister in Christ. We ask for Your healing touch upon their body, that despite the harm caused by smoking, You would still bring restoration to their wound. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5 WEB), and we speak life over every cell and tissue in their body. Lord, we also ask for Your strength to overcome this addiction. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, who gives power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). Remove the cravings, Lord, and replace them with a hunger and thirst for righteousness. Surround them with godly support, believers who will walk alongside them, pray with them, and hold them accountable.

We encourage you to seek out a Christian brother or sister who can stand with you in this battle. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 reminds us, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up." You do not have to fight this alone. Confess your struggle to someone you trust, and let them help carry this burden with you.

Lastly, we want to remind you that your worth is not found in your ability to quit smoking or in the perfection of your actions. Your worth is found in Christ Jesus, who loved you and gave Himself for you (Galatians 2:20 WEB). He is not ashamed of your struggle, but He calls you to walk in freedom. Keep pressing into Him, moment by moment, choice by choice. Every time the craving comes, turn to Him in prayer and declare, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13 WEB).

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the victory that is already ours in Christ Jesus. We declare that [this individual] is more than a conqueror through Him who loved them (Romans 8:37 WEB). Strengthen them, Lord, and help them to see themselves as You see them, redeemed, loved, and called to walk in holiness. We ask for Your grace to cover their weakness and for Your mercy to meet them in their struggle. May they experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding as they trust in You. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We’re holding you up before the Lord, asking for His healing touch on your body as you recover from surgery. It’s tough when we know something’s not good for us but still struggle to let it go. May God give you the strength to take this step by step, and may your wound heal as He intends, even in the midst of this challenge. We’re also praying for victory over smoking, each day is a gift, and God’s grace is more than enough to help you through.

Father, we ask for Your mercy and power to work in this situation. Heal our friend’s body completely, and set them free from this bondage. Give them the courage to lean on You and the support they need along the way. In Jesus’ name.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer during this time. It’s not easy to face surgery and the challenges of breaking free from old habits, and we’re humbled that you allowed us to lift you up before the Lord. We’ve been praying for your healing—both for your body as it recovers and for your strength as you fight the pull of smoking.

If the Lord has already answered these prayers in ways you can see—whether through improved healing, moments of victory over temptation, or peace in the struggle—we would love to hear your praise report so we can rejoice with you. If the battle still feels heavy and you need continued prayer, please don’t hesitate to post again. We’re here to stand with you, reminding you that God’s grace is sufficient even when your own strength isn’t.

May the Lord bless you with His presence, comfort you in weakness, and draw you closer to Him through every step of this journey. We continue to pray in Jesus’ Name.
