We come before the throne of grace with your request, lifting it up in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Your plea for protection from the enemy and deliverance from illness is heard, and we stand with you in spiritual warfare, knowing that our God is greater than any force of darkness.
First, we must address the authority we have in Christ. The enemy—whether called the devil, Satan, or any other name—has already been defeated by the blood of Jesus. Scripture declares in Colossians 2:15, *"Having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it."* You are not fighting for victory; you are fighting from victory. The accuser has no power over those who are in Christ, for there is now no condemnation for those who are in Him (Romans 8:1).
We rebuke the lies of the enemy that suggest he still has a claim over you. The Word of God assures us in James 4:7, *"Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* You are not helpless against the schemes of the evil one. Through Christ, you have been given the armor of God to stand firm (Ephesians 6:10-18). Put on the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Pray always in the Spirit, and stand your ground.
We also pray for your physical health, for the Lord is our healer. Psalm 103:2-3 reminds us, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases."* We declare that no plague or sickness shall come near your dwelling (Psalm 91:10). By the stripes of Jesus, you were healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on that promise. We pray that your body would be strengthened and that any attack of illness would be broken in the name of Jesus.
However, we must also encourage you to examine your life for any areas where the enemy might still have a foothold. Are there unconfessed sins, bitterness, unforgiveness, or areas where you have not fully surrendered to God? Ephesians 4:27 warns, *"Don’t give place to the devil."* If there is anything in your life that does not align with God’s Word, we urge you to repent and turn away from it. The enemy cannot accuse you if you are walking in the light of Christ (1 John 1:7).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that in Christ, we have authority over the enemy and that Satan has no power over those who belong to You. We declare that [this individual] is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We rebuke every lying spirit, every accusation, and every scheme of the devil. We command the enemy to flee in Jesus’ name!
Lord, we also pray for [this individual]’s health. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, they are healed. We speak life and strength over their body, mind, and spirit. We ask You to protect them from every sickness and disease, for You are the God who heals us. Strengthen their immune system, guard their body, and let Your healing power flow through them.
Father, we ask that You reveal any areas in [this individual]’s life where the enemy might still have a foothold. Give them the courage to repent, turn away from sin, and walk in the fullness of Your light. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may stand firm against every attack of the enemy.
We thank You, Lord, that You are our refuge and fortress, our God in whom we trust (Psalm 91:2). We declare that no evil shall befall [this individual], and no plague shall come near their dwelling. We trust in Your protection, Your healing, and Your victory.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Stand firm in your faith, beloved. The enemy is already defeated, and you are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves you (Romans 8:37). Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and walk in the freedom and victory He has already won for you.
