We hear your pain and frustration, and we stand with you in this difficult situation. The discrimination and disrespect you are facing because of the color of your skin is not only unjust but also contrary to God’s Word. The Bible is clear that all people are created in the image of God (Genesis 1:27) and that we are to treat one another with love, dignity, and respect, regardless of race or ethnicity. James 2:9 warns, *"But if you show partiality, you commit sin, being convicted by the law as transgressors."* The mistreatment you are experiencing is sinful, and we rebuke it in the name of Jesus Christ.
We also want to gently address your request for "a lot of fame at work." While it is natural to desire recognition and success, Scripture reminds us that our ultimate worth and identity come from Christ, not from the approval of others. Proverbs 22:4 says, *"The result of humility and the fear of Yahweh is wealth, honor, and life."* True honor comes from walking in humility and obedience to God, not from seeking the fleeting approval of man. We encourage you to seek God’s favor above all else, trusting that He will lift you up in His perfect timing (1 Peter 5:6).
Now, let us come before the Lord together in prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is facing injustice and discrimination at work. Lord, You see the pain and frustration he/she is enduring, and we ask that You would be his/her comfort and strength. We pray that You would soften the hearts of his/her bosses and colleagues, that they would see the value and dignity You have placed in him/her. Father, we rebuke the spirit of racism and partiality in this workplace, and we declare that Your love and justice will prevail. Help our brother/sister to respond with grace and wisdom, reflecting Your character even in the face of mistreatment.
Lord, we also pray for success in his/her education and job. Give him/her the focus, discipline, and perseverance needed to excel. May he/she find favor in the eyes of those who can help advance his/her career, but above all, may he/she seek Your approval and glory. Protect his/her heart from bitterness or resentment, and fill him/her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind him/her that his/her identity is found in Christ, not in the opinions of others.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who breaks every chain and brings justice to the oppressed. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. Amen.
We encourage you to lean on the Lord during this time. Remember that God is your defender, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). If this environment becomes toxic or unbearable, pray for wisdom about whether to address the issue with HR or seek opportunities elsewhere. But whatever you do, do not let the actions of others define your worth or your future. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and God has a purpose for your life that no one can thwart. Stand firm in your faith, and let the love of Christ shine through you, even in the midst of adversity.
