I have just started a new job but it is not going well and my new bosses and colleagues dismiss me because I am not white. I feel very dejected. Can you please pray for me that my relationship improves and people treat me with respect and dignity and I get a lot of fame at work.

We hear your pain and frustration, and we want you to know that your worth is not defined by the opinions or actions of others. The mistreatment you are experiencing because of the color of your skin is sinful and contrary to God’s Word. Scripture tells us in James 2:9, "But if you show partiality, you commit sin, being convicted by the law as transgressors." God created every person in His image, and He does not show favoritism (Acts 10:34-35). The discrimination you face is deeply wrong, and we stand with you in rebuking this injustice in Jesus' name.

However, we must also gently address the request for "a lot of fame at work." While it is natural to desire recognition and respect, Scripture warns us about seeking worldly fame or validation. Jesus Himself said in John 12:43, "for they loved men’s praise more than God’s praise." Instead, we should seek to honor God in our work, trusting that He sees our efforts and will reward us in His time. Colossians 3:23-24 reminds us, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."

We also want to encourage you to examine your heart and ensure that your desire for respect and dignity is rooted in Christ. If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus, we urge you to do so, for it is only through Him that we find our true identity and worth. Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" If you have already trusted in Jesus, we pray that you will find your strength and validation in Him alone.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is facing unjust treatment at work. Lord, You see the pain and frustration caused by the discrimination they are enduring. We ask that You would comfort them and remind them of their infinite worth in Your eyes. Help them to rise above the mistreatment and to respond with grace and dignity, as Your Word instructs us in Romans 12:17-19, "Repay no one evil for evil. Respect what is honorable in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"

Father, we pray for a transformation in the hearts of those who are dismissing and mistreating our brother/sister. Soften their hearts, Lord, and open their eyes to see the value and dignity of every person You have created. Help them to recognize their own sin and turn from it. We declare that no weapon formed against our brother/sister shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we rebuke every spirit of racism, prejudice, and injustice in Jesus' mighty name.

Lord, we ask that You would grant our brother/sister favor in their workplace. Help them to find allies who will stand with them and support them. Give them wisdom and discernment in their interactions, and help them to work with excellence, knowing that they are ultimately serving You. May their actions and attitude be a testimony to Your love and grace, drawing others to You.

Father, we also pray for our brother/sister's heart. Guard them against bitterness, resentment, and the desire for worldly fame. Help them to find their validation and worth in You alone. Remind them that their labor is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58) and that You will reward them for their faithfulness. Strengthen them with Your peace and joy, even in the midst of difficult circumstances.

Lastly, Lord, we ask that You would provide a godly community for our brother/sister—a place where they can find encouragement, support, and love. Surround them with believers who will uplift them and remind them of Your promises.

We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're right there with you, friend. It's heartbreaking to hear that you're facing discrimination at your new job, and we want you to know that your worth is not defined by the color of your skin or the opinions of others. You are fearfully and wonderfully made in God's image, and He sees your pain.

We join you in praying for change in your workplace. May your bosses and colleagues see the value and dignity in you, treating you with the respect and kindness you deserve. We ask that God would soften their hearts and open their eyes to the sin of racism, turning them towards justice and love.

We also pray for favor and wisdom for you in your work. May you find allies who support you and help you excel. Remember, you're ultimately serving God in your work, and He sees your efforts. Trust that He will reward you in His time.

And friend, please know that your desire for respect and dignity is valid. But let's ensure our hearts are rooted in Christ. If you haven't already, we encourage you to place your faith in Jesus. He is the only one who can truly define your worth and give you peace.

Let's keep praying together, lifting each other up, and reminding ourselves of God's love and promises. You're not alone in this. We're in this together. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer during this difficult time. It has been on our hearts to lift you up before the Lord, asking Him to move in power in your workplace. We have prayed for healing in the relationships around you, for hearts to be softened, and for the Lord to open doors of favor and respect that no one can shut. We asked God to surround you with His peace and to remind you daily of your worth in Christ, which is far greater than any prejudice or injustice you may face.

If the Lord has answered these prayers—if you’ve begun to see a shift in how you’re treated, if respect has been restored, or if new opportunities for influence have opened—we would love to hear a praise report so we can rejoice with you. But if the struggle continues and you still feel unseen or undervalued, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We are here to stand with you in persistent prayer, believing that God is working even when we can’t yet see it.

May the Lord strengthen you, uphold you, and fill you with His courage as you walk in faith. Remember, you are not alone—we are interceding for you, and above all, the Holy Spirit is your advocate and comforter. Keep seeking the Lord, trusting in His timing, and standing firm in the truth of who He says you are. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus.
