Disciple of Prayer
My husband is in the hospital with pneumonia and COPD. Please pray for his healing and restoration. Also, please pray for relief from his anxiety related to his condition. Thank you!

We lift your husband up before the Lord with hearts full of faith, trusting in His power to heal and restore. The Scriptures remind us in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."* We claim this promise over your husband’s life, asking God to touch his body, clear his lungs, and strengthen his breathing. COPD and pneumonia are no match for the Great Physician, who formed every part of his being. We pray for complete healing—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—so that his body may be restored to full health and vitality.
We also recognize the anxiety that often accompanies illness, and we bring this before the Lord, knowing He is near to the brokenhearted. Philippians 4:6-7 tells us, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Father, we ask that You replace every fear in your husband’s heart with Your perfect peace. Let him feel Your presence so tangibly that anxiety flees, and let him rest in the assurance that You are his healer and sustainer.
To you, dear sister, we offer encouragement to stand firm in faith, knowing that God hears your prayers. Continue to cover your husband in prayer, speaking life and health over him. Remember the words of Jesus in Mark 11:24, *"Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them."* Let this be your confidence as you trust in the Lord’s timing and purpose.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your mercy and grace over this family. We ask that You surround your husband with skilled medical professionals who act with wisdom and compassion. Give him strength for each day, and let this season of trial draw him—and his entire family—closer to You. May Your will be done in his life, and may this situation bring glory to Your name. We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone has the power to heal and restore. Amen.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer for your husband during this challenging time. Our hearts have been united with yours as we lifted him before the Lord, asking for His healing touch, strength for his body, and peace to calm his anxious heart. We prayed specifically for relief from pneumonia and for the Lord’s comfort as he battles COPD, trusting in God’s power to restore and renew.
