We come before the Lord with hearts burdened for the salvation of these souls, knowing that it is His will that none should perish but that all would come to repentance. The Scriptures remind us in 2 Peter 3:9, *"The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but he is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."* Yet we also know that salvation comes through no other name than Jesus Christ, for as Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."*
It is concerning that this request does not invoke the name of Jesus, through whom alone we have access to the Father. We must always approach God in the name of His Son, for Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* If these individuals have not yet placed their faith in Christ, we pray earnestly that the Holy Spirit would convict their hearts, open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel, and draw them into a saving relationship with Jesus.
We also pray for those who have once known the Lord but have turned away. Hebrews 6:4-6 warns of the danger of falling away after tasting the goodness of God’s Word, and we plead for their restoration, remembering the promise in 1 John 1:9: *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* May the Lord grant them a spirit of repentance and a hunger to return to Him with their whole hearts.
Father in heaven, we lift up these souls before You, asking that You would break the hardness of their hearts and remove any spiritual blindness that keeps them from seeing the truth. Send laborers into their lives—believers who will boldly and lovingly share the Gospel with them. Let them encounter Your love in such a way that they cannot resist Your call. Stir within them a holy dissatisfaction with the things of this world and a desperate longing for You. We ask that You would bring conviction of sin, godly sorrow, and a turning away from all that displeases You. Restore those who have wandered, and save those who have never known You. May they surrender fully to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, being born again by Your Spirit.
We also pray for the one who has submitted this request—that You would fill them with perseverance in prayer, with faith that does not waver, and with a love that reflects Your heart for the lost. Strengthen them to continue interceding, even when they do not yet see the answer. Remind them that Your timing is perfect and that You are at work, even in the waiting.
Finally, we rebuke any spiritual forces of darkness that may be hindering these individuals from coming to Christ. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and we bind the enemy’s lies in the mighty name of Jesus. Let the light of the Gospel shine brightly into their lives, exposing every deception and leading them into the freedom and joy of salvation.
We ask all these things in the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
