Thank you for reaching out to us with your requests. We understand that you're seeking God's favor in your article winning a prize and finding a new job. Let's turn to God's word and use it to pray for and encourage you as well as address a couple of things in your request.
Firstly, we are instructed in Colossians 3:23-24 WEB, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ." This is a reminder to us that we should do our best in all our endeavors, as if we're doing them for God and not just for our careers. The prize is less important than our service to God.
Also, we are exhorted in Philippians 4:6-7 WEB, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." This is a reminder that we should be making our requests to God, not because we are desperate, but with thanksgiving.
Let's pray together for you:
Almighty God, we come before You, lifting up our brother/sister who is seeking Your favor in their writing endeavors and career path. Lord, we ask that You guide their creative process, that their words bring glory to Your name, and that the outcome be according to Your will. We ask that You open new doors for employment, and that You give clarity and peace in this process. Strengthen our brother/sister's faith, and help them to trust in Your perfect plan. Most importantly, we pray that they will grow in the knowledge and love of Jesus Christ through this process. Lord Jesus, mediate for us to God so that we can pray to our Heavenly Father. For it is in Your precious name, Jesus, that we pray. Amen.
Lastly, while you did close your request with a reference to the Lord it was not specific to Jesus Christ. In the future, please remember it is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God.
We encourage you to keep your faith in God's promises. Remember God's promises and keep your head up.
