Please pray for my dad. His name is ### and a few days ago, he attempted to take his own life after experiencing severe side effects from multiple prescribed blood pressure medications.

These medications, known as beta blockers, tragically caused devastating psychiatric reactions including insomnia, psychosis, anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts—none of which he had ever experienced before. Before this, ### was a strong, loving man with no history of such struggles, and no one could have imagined he would reach this point.

Right now, my dad is under hospital care (###) after his attempt and is awaiting transfer to a psychiatric facility for further evaluation. Though these medications were stopped yesterday, the effects linger, and he remains in a very dark place. He continues to struggle with overwhelming fear, despair, guilt, and depression saying he no longer deserves to live or be forgiven. He often withdraws, mumbling to himself, and seems unable to accept the love and reassurance of his family who are standing by his side. We also believe he is under heavy spiritual bondage, with strong demonic oppression at work, and we are pleading for the Lord’s deliverance to break every chain that holds him in this darkness.

This has been devastating for our family, and we urgently need God’s divine intervention. Please join us in praying that the Lord Jesus Christ will restore ### to his right mind, heal his body and spirit, and deliver him from every chain of fear, oppression, despair, anxiety, depression and suicide. Pray that as the medications leave his system, his clarity, peace, rest, hope, and calm of mind will return. Pray that he will be placed in the right hospital under compassionate and wise doctors who will seek to truly help him, not simply medicate him further. Pray that he will accept the love and care of his family, and most importantly, that he will come to know deeply the salvation, forgiveness, and redemption found only in Christ Jesus.

We ask also for prayers of protection, strength, wisdom, and that our faith would be strengthened as we walk this difficult road with him. May God give us discernment, courage, and peace as we advocate for his care and continue to remind him of the hope we have in Jesus. We believe with all our hearts that only the Lord can bring him out of this darkness and restore him fully.

We know that with God all things are possible (Matthew 19:26), and we hold fast to His promises. Your prayers are a lifeline for ### right now, and we are deeply grateful for every petition lifted on his behalf. Please share this request with others and join us in storming heaven for his healing, deliverance, salvation, and restoration.

With sincere gratitude and faith,
### and Family

We come before the throne of grace with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting your father up to the Lord Jesus Christ, who alone is the Great Physician, the Prince of Peace, and the Breaker of every chain. The enemy has sought to steal, kill, and destroy, but we declare that Christ has come to bring life and life abundantly (John 10:10). Your father’s struggle is not unseen by God, nor is his pain beyond the reach of His healing hand. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Though this trial is severe, we stand firm in the truth that nothing is impossible with God (Luke 1:37), and we will contend in prayer until we see His victory manifested in your father’s life.

The devastation caused by these medications is a stark reminder of the fragility of our human bodies and the spiritual battles that rage beyond what we see. The psychiatric torment your father has endured is not of God but is a direct assault from the enemy, who seeks to distort his mind and steal his hope. Yet we take authority in the name of Jesus over every spirit of fear, despair, confusion, and death that has sought to oppress him. The Lord rebukes these forces, for He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We bind the strongman of suicide and command every demonic influence to flee in Jesus’ name, for greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

Your father’s guilt and belief that he is unworthy of forgiveness are lies from the pit of hell. The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin (1 John 1:7), and there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ (Romans 8:1). Though he may feel beyond reach, we declare that the Lord’s arm is not shortened that it cannot save (Isaiah 59:1). Even now, we ask the Holy Spirit to convict his heart of God’s unfailing love and the truth that Christ died to set him free—free from shame, free from bondage, and free from the weight of despair. Let him hear the voice of the Lord saying, *“I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you”* (Jeremiah 31:3).

We pray for divine wisdom over the medical professionals caring for him. May the Lord place him in the hands of doctors and nurses who are not only skilled but also compassionate, discerning, and led by the Spirit to provide the right treatment without further harm. We ask that the residual effects of these medications would be flushed from his system swiftly and that his mind would be renewed by the washing of the water of the Word (Ephesians 5:26). Let sleep come as a gift from God, restoring his body and quieting the storms in his mind. May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and thoughts in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

To your family, we speak strength and endurance. This road is painful, but you are not walking it alone. The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Lean on Him when your own strength fails. Cling to one another in love, and let your words to your father be seasoned with grace, constantly pointing him to the hope found only in Christ. Do not grow weary in praying, for the effective, fervent prayer of the righteous accomplishes much (James 5:16). Even when you see no immediate change, trust that the Lord is working behind the scenes, aligning every detail for your father’s restoration.

We also urge you to ensure that the name of Jesus Christ is lifted high in this battle. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is by His name alone that we have authority to stand against the enemy. If your father does not yet know the Lord, we pray that this trial would be the very thing that leads him to surrender his life to Christ. May he cry out, *“Lord, save me!”* and experience the transformative power of the Gospel. If he is a believer, we pray that this season would deepen his faith, stripping away every reliance on self and anchoring him firmly in the finished work of the cross.

Father God, we come boldly before Your throne, not because of our own righteousness, but because of the blood of Jesus. We ask for a miracle in this man’s life—a supernatural intervention that will leave no doubt that You are the God who heals, delivers, and restores. Break every chain of mental torment, rebuking the spirits of suicide, depression, and fear. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, renewing his mind and flooding his soul with Your peace. Let him wake each day with a growing awareness of Your presence and a hunger for Your Word. Surround him with Your angels, encamping around him to protect him from further harm (Psalm 34:7).

Lord, we ask that You would give his family supernatural wisdom as they advocate for his care. Guard them against discouragement and fill them with Your joy, which is their strength (Nehemiah 8:10). Let this trial be a testimony of Your faithfulness—not just for this family, but for all who witness Your hand at work. May your father’s restoration be so undeniable that it silences the enemy and brings glory to Your name.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray, believing and receiving the answers You have already prepared. Amen.

To you and your family, we say: Hold fast. The night may be dark, but the morning is coming. The Lord is fighting for your father, and He will not relent. Keep speaking life, keep praying, and keep trusting. We are standing with you in this battle, and we will not cease to cry out to God on his behalf until we see the victory won. Be encouraged, for the Lord hears the cries of His people, and He will act. *“The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him. It is good that one should hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord”* (Lamentations 3:25-26). Your hope is not in vain.
