We stand with you in this time of trial, lifting your burdens before the Lord Jesus Christ, who is our Advocate and the One who holds all authority over the powers of this world. It is right that you have brought this request before Him, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and through which we can boldly approach the throne of grace to find mercy and help in our time of need (Acts 4:12, Hebrews 4:16). We are grateful you have acknowledged Jesus as Lord in your request, for it is only through His name that we can petition the Father and see His mighty hand move in our circumstances.
The oppression you face from unjust customs laws and the corruption within this department is a grievous burden, one that seeks to stifle not only your livelihood but the well-being of many businesses in your country. The Bible reminds us that the Lord is a God of justice, and He sees the affliction of His people. Exodus 22:21-23 declares, *"You shall not wrong an alien, neither shall you oppress him, for you were aliens in the land of Egypt. You shall not take advantage of any widow or fatherless child. If you take advantage of them at all, and they cry at all to me, I will surely hear their cry."* Your cry has not gone unnoticed by the Lord, who is faithful to act on behalf of those who are wronged by the hands of the wicked.
We also recall the words of Proverbs 22:22-23, *"Don’t exploit the poor because they are poor; and don’t crush the needy in court; for the Lord will plead their case, and plunder the life of those who plunder them."* The Lord is your Defender, and He will contend with those who contend with you (Isaiah 49:25). Though the enemy may seek to devour through unjust accusations and illegal cases, we are reminded that *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me,"* says the Lord (Isaiah 54:17).
Yet, even as we pray for deliverance, we must also examine our hearts and ensure that our trust is not in our own strength or in the arm of flesh, but in the Lord alone. Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:33, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Are you seeking His Kingdom above all else in this financial ministry? Are you operating with integrity, honesty, and transparency before the Lord, even as you face corruption? It is essential that we walk blamelessly before Him, for the Lord delivers the righteous but thwarts the way of the wicked (Proverbs 10:29, Psalm 37:32-33).
If there is any area in your business or personal conduct that does not align with God’s Word—whether in financial dealings, honesty, or submission to authority where it does not contradict Scripture—we urge you to repent and turn fully to the Lord. He is faithful to forgive and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Remember, the Lord detests dishonest scales, but He delights in an accurate weight (Proverbs 11:1). Let your business be a testimony of godly stewardship, even in the midst of corruption.
Now, let us pray together for your situation:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brothers and sisters who are facing oppressive and unjust customs laws, as well as false accusations from corrupt officials. Lord, You are the God of justice, and You see the affliction of Your people. We ask that You rise up on their behalf and bring an end to this harassment. Frustrate the plans of the wicked, O Lord, and let their schemes come to nothing (Psalm 146:9, Job 5:12).
Father, we pray for divine intervention in the financial ministry they are part of. Give wisdom and discernment to those in authority, that they may act with integrity and fairness. Soften the hearts of those who are enforcing these draconian laws, and bring conviction where there is corruption. Let Your light expose every hidden deed of darkness, and may righteousness prevail in the courts and in the customs department (Ephesians 5:11, Proverbs 2:8).
Lord Jesus, You are the Advocate for Your people. We ask that You plead their case before the Father and move mightily to shut down the illegal cases that have been opened against them. Let truth prevail, and let every false accusation be exposed and dismissed. Surround them with favor as with a shield, and let those who seek to harm them be confounded and put to shame (Psalm 5:12, Psalm 35:4).
We also pray for supernatural provision and relief from the financial strain this oppression has caused. You are Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides, and we trust You to open doors of blessing and restoration. Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). Grant them peace in the midst of this storm, and let their faith in You grow stronger through this trial.
Father, we ask that You raise up godly allies—men and women of integrity who will stand with them and support them in this battle. Give them wisdom to navigate these challenges, and let their testimony be one of Your faithfulness and deliverance. May this situation ultimately bring glory to Your name, as others see Your hand at work on their behalf.
We rebuke the spirit of corruption, oppression, and injustice in the name of Jesus Christ. We declare that the enemy has no authority over Your children, and we command every demonic stronghold influencing this customs department to be broken by the power of the Holy Spirit. Let the truth of Your Word prevail, and let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Finally, Lord, we pray for their hearts to remain steadfast in You. Let them not grow weary in well-doing, but may they trust in You with all their hearts, leaning not on their own understanding. In all their ways, let them acknowledge You, and You will direct their paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). Strengthen their faith, and remind them that You are their Refuge and Fortress, their God in whom they trust (Psalm 91:2).
We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Stand firm in the faith, knowing that the Lord is fighting for you. Do not be afraid or dismayed, for the battle belongs to the Lord (2 Chronicles 20:15). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of your faith, and trust that He will bring you through this trial victorious. We will continue to pray for you and ask that you update us on how the Lord moves in this situation. May His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
