Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing this heavy burden and for your faithful care for those who have been harmed. We join you in prayer for this appeal hearing and for everyone affected as they wait.
We pray that truth will be clearly seen and that justice will be done. Scripture teaches that wisdom is more valuable than rubies and that nothing we desire can compare to it. True wisdom begins with the fear of the Lord, which is to hate evil, and it dwells with prudence and sound counsel. By wisdom princes decree justice and judges of the earth rule. So we ask God to pour out His wisdom upon the three judges who will hear this appeal. We pray the Holy Spirit will grant them understanding, discernment and courage to recognize what is true, to weigh the evidence with equity and judgment, and to uphold what is right. We pray that accountability will not be avoided and that protection will remain over the university community so that harassment and immoral behavior cannot continue.
We also lift up the students you have been ministering to and all the other victims. God desires His people to know real peace. The wisdom that comes from above is peaceable, and the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. Apart from God there is inner turmoil, but through Jesus we can have peace with God, and then know the peace of God in our hearts. We pray that the Lord will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are stayed on Him because they trust in Him. May He be their defense and give them strength, comfort and protection in these days of waiting. May He guard their hearts from fear and draw them closer to Himself, where they can experience His grace and the quiet assurance that He is working for justice and for their good.
