Please pray for my supervisors

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Almighty and Heavenly Father, thank you for allowing me to work with such wonderful, students and colleagues, thank you for the blessings of having a job that fulfills your will. I pray you work with the hearts of my supervisors and bring them to faith and understanding. I forgive them for their accusations and actions, yet to be able to move forward we all need to be on the same page working together. Remind them that we are a team, all sides need to be acknowledged and our students deserve the best and highest quality education possible. As the only certified person of my field there, please help them accept me and show compassion, rebuild rapport, trust, and respect. In the mighty and glorious name of Jesus. Amen

We join you in thanking our Heavenly Father for the blessing of meaningful work and for the opportunity to serve students and colleagues for His glory. We rejoice to see your heart of forgiveness toward your supervisors, for this reflects the love of Christ within you. As it is written, Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you Ephesians 4:32, and If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men Romans 12:18.

We are encouraged by your desire for unity and for the highest good of your students, and we agree with you that God can soften hearts and restore trust and respect. The king's heart is in Yahweh's hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires Proverbs 21:1, and we know He is able to work in the hearts of those in authority over you. We also remember the call to pray for those who have authority and even those who may misunderstand or accuse us, Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you Matthew 5:44. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men Colossians 3:23 reminds us that our ultimate service is to Christ, even as we seek to be a faithful team member.

We pray together with you.

Father in heaven, we thank You for the work You have given our dear coworker and for the students You have entrusted to their care. We lift up these supervisors to Your throne of grace and ask that You would draw them to faith and understanding in Christ Jesus. Soften their hearts, Lord, and give them eyes to see the value and calling of the one You have placed there as the certified laborer in this field. Heal any division, remove accusations, and rebuild rapport, trust, and compassion among this team. Help them to remember that unity is good and pleasant where brothers dwell together in unity Psalm 133:1 and to be diligent to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace Ephesians 4:3. Grant wisdom to all sides, let every voice be heard with fairness, and let the students receive the excellent education they deserve. Give our coworker continued grace to forgive, patience to endure, and courage to speak truth in love, and let Your will be done in this workplace. We ask all this in the mighty and glorious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and only Savior, for there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. Amen.

Thank you for sharing this so honestly. We hear your gratitude for your students and colleagues and for work that feels meaningful, and also how heavy it has been to feel accused and not fully accepted as the only certified person in your field there.

We are encouraged by the choice you have already made to forgive. That decision is a real turning point, it releases you from carrying the need to get even and frees you to treat others with dignity. The quieter emotional side of forgiveness often takes longer to catch up, especially when trust has been strained, and that is normal. Forgiveness is one thing, rebuilding trust and rapport is another that takes time and cooperation from both sides.

It helps that your focus is on what you share, the students and the quality of their education. When tension is high, keeping the conversation anchored there can lower defensiveness.

One small next step that may help is to ask for a brief, calm meeting centered on that shared mission. You could come with one clear, respectful request, for example how you would like information or decisions to be shared so you can do your best work for students, and invite their perspective as well. Keeping brief notes afterward can bring clarity for everyone and protect the working relationship.

We are praying for you in this.

Father, thank You for the work You have given our friend and for their love for students. We ask You to work in the hearts of their supervisors, draw them toward Yourself, and give all of them wisdom, humility and compassion. Heal what has been hurt, rebuild trust where it has been broken, and help them work together as a team for the good of the students. Give our friend peace and strength each day. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your prayer has been laid before the Lord and we join with you in thanksgiving and supplication. We give thanks with you for the mercy of God in granting you work wherein you may serve Him and bless the young who are entrusted to your care, and we praise Him that He has wrought in your heart a spirit of forgiveness toward those who have accused you.

You have done well to forgive, and we would encourage you to continue in that Christlike pattern. The forgiveness which God bestows upon sinners is a divine forgiveness, complete and eternal, and He says, I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions, and will not remember thy sins. He has no buts in His forgiveness. He does not say, I forgive you but I will never trust you again. When we make a clean breast in confession, He gives a clean breast by absolution, and His forgiveness is without limit and without recall. Even as Christ forgave you, so also do you, and this is the pattern set before us. It is a continuous forgiveness, not once only but daily, and thereby we learn to forgive others freely, fully, and from the heart, as we have been forgiven.

There is forgiveness with God through Jesus Christ His Son alone, and there is forgiveness for every sinner who will put his trust in Him. Whatever the accusations or misunderstandings that have arisen, we are to trust not in our own feelings nor in the favor of men, but in Christ who is worthy of all confidence. To trust Him is to find pardon at once, without money and without price, and to find also the grace to walk in love toward others.

We pray with you now to that end.

Almighty and Heavenly Father, we thank Thee for our brother and for the work Thou hast given him to do among students and colleagues. We bless Thee for every good gift and for the desire Thou hast planted in his heart to see Thy will done in that place. We ask Thee to work upon the hearts of his supervisors. Bring them, we beseech Thee, to faith in Thy Son Jesus Christ, in whom alone is salvation, and to understanding of Thy truth. Grant them eyes to see and hearts to acknowledge every side with fairness, that all may labor together as one team for the good of those precious young souls committed to their charge.

Lord, where there has been accusation and hurt, pour out Thy spirit of reconciliation. Help Thy servant to continue in a forgiving spirit, and help those set over him to show compassion, to accept him, and to rebuild that rapport and trust and respect which befits fellow laborers. Cause that which is excellent and of good report to flourish there, that the students may receive the highest quality of education and may see in their teachers an example of unity and charity. Establish the work of his hands, give him wisdom and patience and gentleness, and let Thy name be glorified in that school.

We ask this in the mighty and glorious name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who has forgiven us all our trespasses and who ever liveth to intercede for us. Amen.
