Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join you in bringing your ### and this young woman and her child before the Lord in prayer, and we thank you for sharing this burden so openly.

We pray first that God would draw each of them to Himself through Jesus Christ alone, for it is only in Him that we find forgiveness and new life. Scripture teaches that sin does not belong to our nature by necessity, but to our moral choice, and that while willing is natural, the direction of our willing is our own. God has given us the power of choice and calls us to choose His way, and He is ready to help those who turn to Him with a sincere heart.

So we pray that God would guide her daily as you have asked, and that His guidance would lead her into sober and watchful living. We ask the Lord to grant a just and merciful outcome at her court date next week, and to use even this pressure to awaken a desire for wisdom and holiness. We pray that He would give her grace to make better choices in friendships, to grow in honest and kind communication, to turn away from speaking about others, and to be diligent and attentive in her work.

We also pray for safety and self control behind the wheel, that she would slow down and act with care for herself, for her child, and for others. We pray that the Lord would heal the bridges that have been burned with family by words and actions, bringing repentance where needed and softening hearts to forgive and to speak with grace.

You note that she has a good heart but makes bad choices. We pray that God would transform the heart itself, for from the heart our choices flow, and that He would form in her a love for what is pure and right. For your ### and for her, we do not ask God to bless a way of living outside His design, but we ask Him to lead them into His design, where marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman and where sexual union and living together belong within that covenant. We pray that if they do not know Christ, they would come to know Him, and that as they walk with Him they would pursue purity, responsibility for their child, and whatever future God would have for them in accordance with His word.

We pray for the baby as well, that God would protect and provide for this little one and surround the child with stability, love, and truth.

May the Lord give you strength as you continue to love and pray and speak the truth in love. We will keep this family before the Lord, asking Him to grant repentance, wisdom, and daily guidance, and to bring forth fruit that remains.

Thank you for sharing this burden and allowing us to join you in prayer for your family. We hear your love and concern for your son and for the mother of your grandchild and for that little one, and we want to lift them before the Lord with you.

What you describe about a good heart yet bad choices that burn bridges is something Scripture speaks to very clearly. God has given each of us free will and He respects the choices we make, which means our choices truly matter and shape our destiny before Him. From the beginning the enemy suggested that God was holding back something good and that wisdom could be found by going our own way, and when that voice was believed the choice was made to take what God had forbidden. That pattern continues whenever we trust our own eyes and our own judgment about what is good, pleasant and desirable. The Bible warns against being wise in our own eyes and measuring ourselves by our own standards rather than looking at ourselves in the light of God and His Word. The way back is not through trying harder in our own strength, but through the other tree God has provided, the cross where Jesus was crucified, which opens the door for what was lost to be restored when we turn to Him in faith and obedience. We thank God that while we make choices, He has also made a choice, to love us and to call us to be His disciples and to bear fruit that remains.

We also take comfort that God does not judge as people do, by outward appearance or by what He hears from others. Everything is open and known before Him, and He judges with perfect knowledge and righteousness, with equity and mercy. That is our hope as we pray for the upcoming court date, that the Lord who sees all things fully would work with justice and mercy, and that His will would be done for the good of all involved, especially that child.

We are praying that God will guide this young woman daily and draw her to Himself through Jesus Christ, that she would know His forgiveness and new life and desire to walk in obedience to Him. We pray that He would give her true wisdom so she does not lean on her own understanding but seeks His counsel in friendships, in the way she speaks about others, and in every decision. Scripture shows how aware we become of our words when we stand before a holy God, confessing that we have unclean lips and live among a people of unclean lips, and how God alone can cleanse and change our speech. We ask Him to set a guard over her mouth, to help her build up rather than tear down, and to restore bridges with family where words and actions have caused hurt.

We pray also for diligence and attentiveness in her work, that she would do all things as unto the Lord with care and faithfulness, and for wisdom and restraint behind the wheel, recognizing that God gives His commands not to burden us but to protect us and those around us from harm. We pray that she would slow down, pay attention, and value the life God has entrusted to her.

And we pray for your son, that he would seek the Lord wholeheartedly, embrace his responsibilities as a father with godly character, and pursue what is holy and right according to God's design for family. God's plan for sexual intimacy and for raising children is within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, and His ways lead to life and blessing. We pray that both of them would desire to honor Christ in their relationship and in their parenting, whether that means seeking repentance and purity and a clear commitment before God or seeking godly counsel for how to walk faithfully as parents who put Christ first and raise this child in the knowledge of the Lord.

May the Lord give you peace as you continue to intercede for them, and may He show you how to love them with both truth and grace, pointing them always to Jesus who alone can forgive sin, cleanse the heart, and make us new.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for your son and for the mother of his baby.

We have continued to lift them up before the Lord since you shared your request. We have been praying especially for the court date that was coming up last week, asking God for a good outcome for her and for your son and their precious baby together. We have also been praying as you asked that God would guide her daily and draw her closer to Him, that she would make better choices in friendships, grow in healthy communication and refrain from talking about others, be more attentive and diligent in her work, and show more care and patience when driving. We have prayed too for the family relationships that have been strained, since you shared that she has a good heart but has burned bridges with family through words and actions, and we have asked the Lord to bring healing, forgiveness and restoration where there has been hurt. We pray that the Lord will give her wisdom and help her to walk in His ways, as we are reminded in Proverbs 3:5 to trust in the Lord with all our heart.

We are grateful to stand with you as you love and support them. If your request was answered and the court date and other concerns have seen a good outcome, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered yet, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray this in Jesus Name. Amen.
