Please Pray for My Son

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Please pray that the possible serious health problem my son is having is healed, and its root cause. He is also having financial, work, and relationship problems all at once. Please pray for that as well and for him to turn back to his foundation of faith during this difficult time in his life. Thank you and God bless.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your son to our Heavenly Father, the Great Physician and Provider. We know that these trials are not beyond His power or His love, and we stand in faith believing that He hears our cries and sees every tear.

First, we pray for your son’s health, declaring that by the stripes of Jesus, he is healed (Isaiah 53:5). We rebuke every sickness, every spirit of infirmity, and every root cause that seeks to steal, kill, or destroy his well-being. Father, we ask that You would touch him with Your healing hand, restore his body, and reveal any hidden causes so they may be uprooted in Jesus’ name. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind as he waits on You (Philippians 4:7).

We also lift up his financial and work struggles, knowing that You are Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides (Genesis 22:14). We declare that You open doors no man can shut and supply all his needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Give him wisdom in his decisions, favor in his endeavors, and the strength to persevere through this season. We rebuke the spirit of lack and fear, and we speak abundance and opportunity over his life.

Regarding his relationship struggles, we must address this with truth and love. If he is in a courtship or considering marriage, we pray that it aligns with Your will, a godly union between a man and a woman who share a foundation in Christ (2 Corinthians 6:14). If he is involved in a relationship that does not honor You, such as one outside of marriage or with someone who does not share his faith, we gently but firmly rebuke that path. Fornication and unequally yoked relationships bring only heartache and distance from You. We pray he would seek Your wisdom and surround himself with believers who will encourage him in righteousness (Proverbs 13:20).

Most importantly, we pray for his spiritual foundation. Trials have a way of either driving us to God or driving us away, and we ask that this season would draw him closer to You. Stir his heart, Lord, and remind him of the hope found only in Jesus Christ. If he has wandered, we pray for repentance and renewal. If he has grown weary, we pray for fresh faith and trust in Your promises. Your Word says that if we draw near to You, You will draw near to us (James 4:8). Let him experience Your presence in a tangible way, knowing that You are his refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1).

We also want to gently remind you that our prayers are powerful and effective when we pray in the name of Jesus (John 14:13-14), for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If your son does not yet know Jesus as his Lord and Savior, we pray that he would surrender his life to Him, confessing with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believing in his heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). This is the foundation upon which all healing, provision, and restoration are built.

Heavenly Father, we stand in the gap for this young man, declaring Your goodness, Your mercy, and Your power over every area of his life. Strengthen him, comfort him, and let him feel Your love in this difficult season. May he emerge from these trials with a deeper faith, a stronger character, and a testimony of Your faithfulness. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, trusting that You are working all things together for his good (Romans 8:28). Amen.

We’re holding your son in prayer with you right now, and we don’t underestimate the weight you’re carrying as a parent. When a serious health concern arrives bundled with financial strain, work trouble, and relational pain, it can feel like the floor has fallen away all at once. Please know you’re not alone in this, we count it a privilege to stand with you before the Lord.

It’s so understandable to long for healing at the root and for your son to rediscover the faith that once grounded him. In seasons like these, the upheaval itself can sometimes clear away the static and reawaken a hunger for what’s solid. We’ve seen how a parent’s steady, non-anxious love can become a lifeline, not by having all the answers, but by simply staying present and praying without giving up.

You might find it meaningful to let your son know, in concrete ways, that you see the whole picture and not just one part of his struggle. A gentle offer to help with a practical need, even something small, can open a door when words feel thin. You don’t have to fix everything; your willingness to walk alongside him, without pressure, can quietly point him toward the One who never leaves.

Let’s pray together:

Lord Jesus, we bring this son to You now. You see the possible illness in his body, the weight of financial and work pressures, and the fracture in his relationships. We ask for Your healing touch on his health, the root cause and every symptom. We ask for wisdom, provision, and a clear path through the tangle of work and money. Most of all, we pray You would gently draw him back to the foundation of faith he once knew, reassuring him that Your grace has never let him go. Sustain his parent with peace and hope, and let this whole family experience Your nearness in the middle of this storm. In Your name, Jesus. Amen.

The trials you describe for your son are as waves beating upon a vessel. Sickness, poverty, toil, and a heart estranged, all conspiring together. Yet let us not fix our gaze upon the waves, but upon Him who walked upon them. The root of his trouble is not in his body or his purse, but in his soul’s wandering from the Foundation. The call to him is not first to be healed or prospered, but to return. Return, return. The Lord sends this very message by these afflictions. It is not condemnation, but the loving summons of a Husband who cannot be in heaven without His blood-bought one. Hasten to obey while He saith, "Return, return."

Urge upon your son that help comes not by making himself fit, but by simple faith. Let him give up all trying to feel, trying to work, trying to be better first. Nature cannot produce a grain of saving faith; it is the Spirit’s work. Let him come to Christ just as he is, black as the raven, and trust the atoning sacrifice. Every moment he delays only increases his misery; life is uncertain, and the call is now. Return now from his evil way. If he will believe that God is, and that He is the Rewarder of those who diligently seek Him, then the One who came to finish transgression and bring in everlasting righteousness will build up all that is broken. Simple faith, the child of the Spirit, can make the vilest pleasing to God.

We do not find the ark shut against the weary dove. There was no delay; Noah pulled her in at once. So it shall be for your son. Though he think himself unworthy, let him look to the open window of mercy. This is my prayer: that the Spirit would lead him to lose himself in Christ, to live more completely in Him. Then, O you of little faith, why do you doubt? With faith, it is possible to please God. May the Lord grant your son this faith, and in restoring his soul, restore also his peace.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The multitude of afflictions pressing upon your son at once, bodily illness, want of means, toil without fruit, and broken bonds, these are as waves beating against the hull. Yet no tempest rages without the Lord’s leave, and every storm is sent not to sink the vessel but to drive it to the harbor of faith. When I consider the blind man who washed in Siloam, I marvel: he did not reason within himself, “Why clay? Why spittle? Could not the Healer have spoken a word?” No, he obeyed, and by obedience his eyes were opened. So it is with your son. Let him not demand to see the root of his sickness or the why of each trouble. Let him rather cry out in the tempest, “Lord, help my unbelief,” and the very prayer will become the beginning of healing. For faith is the work of God, and without it none can be saved. You ask for his bodily healing, and that is asked well; but the greater miracle is the healing of the soul’s palsy, the turning back to the foundation once laid. When the soul stands firm on that rock, the body’s afflictions and the world’s tumults become light, for they are but for a moment, working a far more exceeding weight of glory.

Do not think that this heap of sorrows is a sign of God’s absence. It is rather the refiner’s fire, burning away the dross of trust in riches or human props. Did not the patriarch glorify God when he was fully persuaded that what He had promised He was able also to perform? That persuasion came not from seeing, but from faith, a faith clearer than any reasoning. Call your son to this: to hold in mind God’s majesty and boundless power, and to be fully persuaded that even now, when no man can work, when human skill and purse fail, God is able. He need not wait for a calmer sea. Let him at this very hour, with the rags of his life clinging to him, turn his eyes not to the earth for pity but to heaven for mercy, and not accuse his lot but glorify God. For abstaining from curious questionings is glorifying God; indulging them is transgression.

You also, his parent, be to him as the mother of Moses, who saw the child was proper and by faith defied the king’s command. Your faith can uphold him when his own falters. Offer ceaseless prayer, and trust that the promise is sure to all the seed of faith. The Lord still saith, “According to thy faith be it unto thee.” He will not fail. Only let your son quit the vain imagination that worldly security springs from human forethought, and rest the hope of his salvation, and of his healing, in repentance and a living faith. That faith will not only make his relationship to the righteous patriarch more definite but will also draw down the very grace that can calm the waves within and without.

Every parent's heart aches when a child suffers, especially when troubles seem to pile on all at once health, finances, work, and relationships. It can feel overwhelming, even crushing. But please know this: God is not far from your son in this storm. He has given each of us a measure of faith, and that faith can be exercised even now.

You asked for prayer that he would turn back to the foundation of his faith. That turning is itself a work of grace. Faith is a gift, not something we manufacture by our own strength. The same Lord who gave him faith to believe in Jesus Christ can renew that faith, even in a season where everything feels dark. I think of Abraham, the great example of faith, who had moments of staggering trust and also moments of failure. A famine tested his faith, and he flunked that test, yet God still counted his faith as righteousness. So a lapse does not disqualify your son. The just shall live by faith that means we keep trusting even when we cannot understand what God is doing.

We often wish for an instant, mountain-moving faith that ends all trouble. But being a person of faith does not guarantee immediate healing or constant victory. Some people through faith saw their dead raised; others with the same faith endured torture and loss. The gift of faith does not operate on demand like a formula. Yet God is at work. A true faith will prove itself over time, not by mere words, but by a life that begins to correspond to what is believed. So I pray that your son will not just remember his foundation, but that his actions will begin to follow what he once knew to be true. Even a faltering step toward God is met with mercy.

I lift your son before the throne of grace right now, asking for his physical healing and for the root cause to be addressed. I pray for provision in his finances, wisdom in his work, and peace in his relationships. Most of all, I pray that the Spirit would stir up the faith God has already given him, that he would see it not as a distant memory but as a living reality. May he be strengthened to endure, and may his heart turn again toward the One who has never turned from him. God bless you as you stand with him in prayer.
