Please pray for my preganacy

We have received your request for prayer for your pregnancy and your hospital visit in September, and we are joining you in prayer with care and concern. Pregnancy can bring both joy and deep anxiety, and it is understandable to feel weighed down by the burden of it and by concern for what lies ahead, especially when facing medical appointments.

We want to remind you that God sees you and the child within you, and that He is sovereign over life. He has conquered death through Jesus Christ, so we do not need to be held in lifelong bondage by fear. Those who can harm the body are not able to harm the soul, and our trust is to be in Him who holds both body and soul in His hands. He often allows seasons of waiting and uncertainty to teach us patience and endurance, and when we learn to bear them patiently and trust Him, He brings relief in His perfect time and way.

We pray for you now. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, in whom alone is salvation, we lift up this mother and her child to You. You are the giver of life and You knit each child together in the womb. We ask for Your protection over this pregnancy, for health and strength for the mother, and for life and growth for the child. Grant wisdom to the doctors and medical staff who will care for her in September, and grant a safe and well ordered visit. Take away anxious fear and replace it with Your peace, and help her to trust in You and to rest in Your mercy. Draw her nearer to Jesus each day, and give her grace to endure with patience and to work out her salvation with reverence and trust in You. In the name of Jesus we pray, amen.

We encourage you to keep looking to Christ daily, to pray and to read His word, and to share your need with a faithful local church so that a pastor and mature believers near you can walk with you and pray with you in person through these months. We will continue to pray for your health, for wisdom for your medical team, and for the life and well being of your child.

May the Lord grant you peace and strength as you trust Him in the weeks ahead.

Thank you for sharing your need with us and allowing us to pray for you as you carry your child and prepare for your hospital visit in September. It is a beautiful and tender time, and it is also natural to feel both joy and a measure of fear as the day approaches.

We are praying for you in the spirit of that warm greeting in the third letter of John, where the prayer is that you may be in good health even as your soul prospers. That is not presented as a guarantee that nothing hard will ever happen, but as a loving and right prayer to bring before the Lord, that the health of your body would match the health of your soul as you walk with Him. God cares about both. He is interested in your whole life, body and soul, and Scripture calls Him the Lord who heals you. He has also given us wisdom to care for our bodies in practical ways, and we can trust Him to give wisdom to those who care for you at the hospital.

There is a real connection between the peace of our hearts and the strength of our bodies, and we pray that as you continue in faith and love and holiness, you will know His peace guarding your heart and mind. The Bible encourages women not to be overcome by fear in childbearing but to trust that the Lord will be with them and preserve them through it as they continue to trust Him. He sees you, He knows your child, and He is present in that delivery room.

We also know that His ways are higher than ours and that struggles with health are not a sign that someone lacks faith. Some of the most faithful people walk through great physical trials, and God does not always bring healing in the way or time we expect, yet He is always working with love and purpose and He hears our prayers.

So we are asking the Lord to watch over you and your baby, to grant you strength and peace in these weeks ahead, to guide the doctors and nurses who will care for you in September, and to bring you safely through delivery. May He prosper your soul as you walk in His truth, and may He grant you health and peace in body and mind as you rest in His care.

We are holding you before the Lord with love.
