We lift up your dear friend with heavy hearts, knowing the weight of medical struggles, the chains of addiction, and the deep longing to reunite with her children. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and the only way to approach Your throne of grace. Your Word declares in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." We stand on this truth, believing that Jesus is the answer to every battle she faces.
Lord, we ask for Your healing touch to rest upon her body. You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your power to restore her health. Jeremiah 30:17 says, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds." We claim this promise over her life, believing that You will bring wholeness where there is brokenness.
We also rebuke the spirit of addiction that has taken hold of her life. The Bible warns us in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." Father, we pray that You would break every chain of bondage in her life. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, giving her the strength to overcome every temptation. Your Word assures us in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." Let her cling to this truth as she fights this battle.
We also lift up her children to You, Lord. The desire of her heart is to be reunited with them, and we know that You place the lonely in families (Psalm 68:6). We pray that You would soften the hearts of those involved in this situation, that Your will would be done, and that she would be restored to her children in a way that honors You. Give her the wisdom and strength to make the changes necessary to provide a stable, godly home for them.
Father, we ask that You would surround her with godly influences, believers who will walk alongside her, encourage her, and hold her accountable. Proverbs 13:20 tells us, "One who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm." Lead her to a community of faith where she can grow in You and find the support she needs.
We also pray for her spiritual walk. If she does not yet know You as her Lord and Savior, we ask that You would draw her to Yourself. Romans 10:9 says, "That if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Let her experience the transformative power of Your love and grace. If she does know You, we pray that she would draw nearer to You, seeking Your face and Your will above all else.
Lord, we know that the road ahead may not be easy, but we trust in Your faithfulness. Your Word tells us in Lamentations 3:22-23, "It is because of Yahweh’s loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn’t fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." We cling to this promise, believing that Your mercies are new every day for her.
We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, knowing that He is our intercessor and that He ever lives to make intercession for us (Hebrews 7:25). May Your will be done in her life, and may she come to know the depth of Your love and the freedom that is found only in You.
We will continue to stand in the gap for her, lifting her up in prayer and trusting that You are at work even when we cannot see it. Thank you, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for Your unfailing love. Amen.
