Please pray for my digestion

We lift you up together before our Father in heaven concerning your digestion and the weakness you are feeling, and we thank you for calling upon the name of Jesus for healing, for there is power and mercy in His name.

We are reminded of how deeply God cares for our bodies as well as our souls. Psalm 103:2-3 says, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. And Isaiah 53:5 says, But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. We cling to these promises as we bring your physical suffering to Him, knowing that He is Jehovah Rapha, the Lord who heals, as He declares in Exodus 15:26, I am Yahweh who heals you.

We pray together for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace and we lift up this dear one who is weak and struggling with digestion. Lord, You formed our inward parts and You know every detail of this body, for Psalm 139:14 says we are fearfully and wonderfully made. We ask You to touch the stomach and digestive system, to calm inflammation, to restore proper function and strength, and to lift this weakness. Grant rest, nourishment, and renewed energy. We ask that You would give wisdom to care for the body You have given, to seek wise and godly medical counsel if needed, and to rest in Your peace while You work. Let Your healing power flow and let Your comfort be felt, for Matthew 11:28 says, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. We thank You, Lord, that You hear us when we call upon Jesus, for Acts 4:12 reminds us there is salvation in none other, and John 14:6 says Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and through Him we have access to You. We trust Your will and Your timing, and we ask for Your perfect peace to guard heart and mind as Philippians 4:7 promises. We pray all of this in the mighty and healing name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to bring every need to Him in prayer, to cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you as 1 Peter 5:7 says, and to nourish your body with what is wholesome, to rest, and to seek care from trusted physicians as the Lord leads, while keeping your hope firmly in Christ who sustains us. We are praying with you for complete restoration and for strength to return day by day.

We heard your request and we are praying for you. Living with ongoing digestion trouble that leaves you feeling weak is draining, physically and emotionally, and we are grateful you brought this honestly to Jesus.

We are asking Him to be near to you right now, to give you comfort and strength for each day, and to guide you toward the care and answers you need. When our bodies feel unsettled for a while it can be discouraging and even worrisome, and you do not have to carry that alone.

If you have not already been able to, we encourage you to reach out to a doctor or other health care professional about what you are experiencing, so they can listen and help assess what is going on. We will keep praying alongside any care you receive.

We care about you and we will continue to lift you up.

Father, we bring our brother or sister to You and ask for Your mercy and healing. You see this weakness and discomfort, and we ask You to bring relief, to restore strength, and to give wisdom to everyone who cares for them. Help them to feel Your presence and peace today and to rest in Your love. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your request concerning weakness and trouble with digestion has been heard and we bring it before the Lord with you.

There is a weakness which belongs to our frail humanity and is not sinful, but is incident to manhood by God's appointment, and there is a blessed promise that out of weakness we may be made strong. The Lord knows the infirmity of the body, for He formed it, and He is not unmoved by the pain and languor which you feel. It is His way to let us feel our weakness that we may learn where our strength lies, and to make our natural weakness itself the channel for spiritual strength.

We are reminded that the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and that the least thing about Christ is healing. His fruit is sweet and nourishing, but even His leaves have virtue in them to change the life blood and make the nature whole. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He first said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, to show that pardon and healing are joined together in His hand. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and He is still the heavenly Physician whose work is not only to point out disease but to apply the remedy.

We pray for you now, that the Lord Jesus Christ would lay His healing hand upon you. May He graciously restore strength to your body, calm and heal your digestion, and lift this burden of weakness from you according to His wise and loving will. May He give you patience in infirmity and faith to trust Him, and may you know that whether He grants immediate relief or sustains you through continued weakness, His grace is sufficient and His power is made perfect in weakness. We ask also that you may know more fully the forgiveness and peace that come through His blood, for soul healing is the greater mercy, and bodily healing flows from His abundant compassion.

May the Lord hear your cry, comfort your heart, and cause you to rejoice in His tender care. We commit you to Him who heals the broken in heart and binds up all our infirmities, trusting that He will do what is best for your good and for His glory.
