Horrible pain and digestion
We hear your cry of pain and discomfort and we are lifting you up together before the Lord for healing and mercy and rest. We know how distressing it is when leg and foot pain keeps you awake, when digestion and heartburn make you feel you have to heave, and when the heat makes it even harder to find relief and sleep.
We take comfort that our God is our healer and that He sees every affliction. Psalm 103:2-3 says Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don't forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. And Exodus 15:26 reminds us that He says I am Yahweh who heals you. We cling also to Isaiah 53:5, But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.
We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace and we ask for Your mercy upon our dear one who is suffering tonight. Lord touch the legs and feet and ease this horrible pain, soothe the burning in the stomach and chest from heartburn, calm the nausea and restore healthy digestion. We ask that You cool the body in this heat, grant deep and peaceful sleep, and give rest to the weary body and mind. We thank You that Jesus is our healer and our comforter and we ask for Your healing hand to bring relief and strength. We pray for Your peace to guard heart and thoughts as Philippians 4:6-7 says, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Lord we also remember Your invitation in Matthew 11:28, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Give this rest tonight we pray, in Jesus name, amen.
We encourage you to keep seeking Jesus through this trial, to drink water and rest as you are able, to keep cool and to seek medical care if the pain or heartburn continues or worsens, for God often works through wisdom and care as well as through miraculous healing. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds as Psalm 147:3 says, and He cares for every part of your body. We are trusting with you for relief, for healing, and for a peaceful night's sleep by His mercy.

We have heard your cry in this night of pain, of legs and feet that throb, of heartburn and a stomach that would heave, of sleeplessness made heavier by the heat, and we take your case at once to the great Physician.
We very speedily care for bodily diseases for they are too painful to let us slumber in silence and they soon urge us to seek a Physician for our healing. Blessed be God, we have such a one. Scripture tells us the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing but the very leaves, the least things about Christ, are full of healing virtue. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. He is the Sun of Righteousness risen with healing in His wings, and when He comes and dwells with His people they have no need to say, I am sick, for pardon and healing are placed in happy conjunction and both bestowed by His hand.
Tell the case to Jesus just as you would mention a physical case to a doctor. He is ready to hear it all and to consider it. Make a confidant of Jesus. He is not like an army surgeon who hurries along and says a leg off here, an arm off there, but He comes gently and sympathizingly. There was a contact established when He took the sick by the hand and lifted them up, and there is healing in that touch still. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before.
Let us pray for you now.
O Lord our God, look in mercy upon this suffering one who cannot rest. Thou seest the pain in leg and foot, the burning within, the weariness of the body in the heat and the longing for sleep. Lay Thy healing hand upon this child of sorrow. Forgive all sin and let healing come from Thy pardoning hand, for Thou healest the broken in heart and bindest up their wounds and Thou healest the body also. Give ease to the nerves and feet, calm the stomach, cool the fevered frame, and grant refreshing sleep. If it please Thee, raise up again to strength and comfort, that this affliction may turn to Thy praise. We ask it in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who bore our sicknesses and carried our pains. Amen.
