Please Pray for My Daughter’s Course Registration

My daughter is entering her sophomore year of university. Her classes started yesterday, and she moved into her new rental place the day before yesterday. Because she was preparing for a transfer exam during her freshman year, she took fewer credits than usual. After unfortunately not passing the transfer exam, she picked herself up and has been working hard to catch up on her credits at her current university. Today, she was unable to get into one of the courses through the add/drop registration process. She is worried that she may not have enough credits to graduate on time. There will be one more opportunity to add the course the day after tomorrow. Please pray that Jesus will graciously make a way for her to successfully get into the Thursday morning Japanese class, and that she will be able to complete the credits she needs for graduation. Please also pray that Jesus will help her settle into her new home quickly, adapt well to living there, and find peace, stability, and joy as she begins her sophomore year. May God guide every decision she makes, open the right doors for her, and give her confidence and peace as she moves forward. Thank you all so much for your prayers. 🙏

We join with you in lifting up your daughter before the Lord during this important transition into her sophomore year. We understand the disappointment she felt after not passing the transfer exam and we admire how she has picked herself up and is working diligently to catch up on her credits. It is completely understandable that she feels anxious about not getting into the course she needs and about graduating on time, and also about settling into a new rental home so quickly after moving. We bring all of these cares to our heavenly Father who sees her effort and loves her deeply.

We are encouraged that you have asked for prayer in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him that we have access to the Father. Scripture reminds us to bring every worry to God with thanksgiving. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We also cling to the promise in Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. And we remember Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. The Lord knows the plans He has for your daughter, including the timing of her graduation and the doors He will open for her.

We pray together now for your daughter. Father in heaven, we thank You for this young woman, for her resilience and diligence, and for the new season You have given her. We ask in the name of Jesus that You would graciously make a way for her in the add drop process the day after tomorrow. If it is Your will, open the door that no one can shut for her to be added to the Thursday morning Japanese class, as Revelation 3:8 reminds us Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one can shut. We ask that You provide the credits she needs and guide every step toward graduation in Your perfect timing. We commit her work to You according to Proverbs 16:3 Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. Give her wisdom as she studies, as it says in James 1:5 that You give wisdom generously to all who ask. We also pray for her new home. Help her to settle in quickly, to adapt well to living there, and to find peace, stability and joy there. Guard her heart from anxiety and fill her dwelling with Your presence. We pray Psalm 32:8 over her, I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you, that she would sense Your guidance in every decision, that You would give her confidence and peace as she moves forward. Let her sophomore year be marked not only by academic progress but by growth in faith, character and joy in You.

We encourage her to keep seeking the Lord first in all things, to work heartily as unto the Lord as Colossians 3:23 teaches, and to rest in the truth that even if the outcome of the registration is not what she hopes, God remains faithful and will provide another way to fulfill what He has planned for her. Romans 8:28 reminds us that We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. We will continue to pray that the Lord opens the right doors, closes the wrong ones, and establishes her in peace and stability this year. May she know how deeply she is loved and upheld by You. Amen.

We are holding you and your daughter in prayer as she begins this sophomore year. Moving into a new rental and starting classes at the same time is a lot to manage, and we can hear how much you care for her after the disappointment of the transfer exam. It says a lot about her that she picked herself up and has been working so hard to catch up on credits.

It makes sense she feels anxious about that Thursday morning Japanese class and about staying on track to graduate. When so much seems to depend on one registration window, the worry can feel heavy very quickly.

As she waits for the next add/drop chance the day after tomorrow, it may help her to go in as prepared as she can, noting the exact time the system opens, having the course number ready, and checking with her academic advisor ahead of time about a backup option if the section fills again. A brief, respectful email to the instructor or department office can also clarify how the waitlist works.

We also hope her new place begins to feel more like home each day, with small routines that bring steadiness and rest.

Father, we bring this daughter to You in Jesus' name. We ask for Your guidance over her schedule and her new home, for doors to open according to Your will, and for calm and confidence as she makes decisions. Give her peace as she settles in and strength for the work ahead. Amen.

Your request for your ### has been brought before the Lord with thankfulness for your care over her, and we join you in prayer for her good.

We are reminded that the thoughts of the Lord toward His people are thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give an expected end. His thoughts are only perfectly known to Himself, yet this much is revealed, that He is at peace with His people through the atoning blood of Jesus Christ, He seeks their peace, He creates their peace and He sustains their peace. Even when He refines His children, His design is their highest good. What comfort this brings when a door seems closed and the heart is anxious about the future.

The Scripture says, You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. This perfect peace is not the absence of pressing duties or distant homes, but a present possession in the ordinary circumstances of life. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and to do the will of Jesus is rest. To love God's law and to trust His Word gives great restfulness to the intellect and quietness to our desires, for then the heart ceases grasping and finds its treasure in Christ alone.

We pray earnestly for your ###. May the Lord in His gracious providence make a way in this next opportunity for adding courses, and if it be His wise will, grant her a place in the Thursday morning Japanese class. We ask that He will provide for all the credits she needs, guide her studies, and order her steps so that she may complete what is required for graduation in His timing. We pray also that He will help her to settle quickly into her new rental place, to adapt well to living there, and to find true peace and stability and joy as she begins this sophomore year. May He keep her mind stayed upon Christ, give her confidence not in herself but in Him, and grant her a calm trust that leaves the result with God after she has done what is right and diligent before Him.

Anxiety itself unfits us to meet our difficulties, but when the will is brought to delight in God's will, the sorrow is softened and the heart is kept. May she learn this blessed acquiescence, and may you also know the peace of God which passes all understanding as you entrust her to His keeping.

We commit her, and every decision before her, to the Lord who opens the right doors in His perfect wisdom. May He bless her with a quiet heart, a steady mind, and a joyful hope in Christ, in whose name alone is salvation and peace. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Thank you for sharing this request for your daughter. We join with you in bringing her before the Lord and we understand the weight of disappointment after the transfer exam and the anxiety she feels now about credits and settling into a new place.

We pray that Jesus in His grace and providence will make a way where it is His will, and that if it is best for her, He would open the door for her to be added to the Thursday morning Japanese class the day after tomorrow. We ask that He would provide for all the credits she needs to continue well in her studies and to graduate in due time, and that He would help her to use this season diligently and faithfully as she catches up from last year.

We also pray that the Lord will help her to settle quickly into her new rental home, to adapt well to living there, and to know real peace, stability and joy as she begins this sophomore year. May God guide every decision she makes, grant her wisdom in managing her time and studies, give her confidence not in herself alone but in Christ who strengthens her, and fill her heart with the peace that comes from trusting Him.

We pray that she will grow in faith through these small trials of waiting and uncertainty, learning to cast all her cares on Him because He cares for her. May the Lord comfort you as her parent as you entrust her to His good hands. We will continue to pray that God opens the right doors, closes those that should remain closed, and leads her step by step in His perfect will. In Jesus name, Amen.
