We are joining with you in prayer for your precious daughter and for you and your whole family, and our hearts are moved with compassion for the anguish and mental pain she is carrying. We thank you for reaching out and for loving her so faithfully through the pain of a broken home and a difficult childhood. We want you to know that God sees her, He knows her suffering intimately, and He holds her life as deeply precious.
The Lord draws especially near to those who are hurting in this way. Scripture tells us The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18. He is the One who heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. Even when intrusive thoughts feel overwhelming, we know the enemy comes to steal and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life, and may have it abundantly John 10:10. Your daughter was fearfully and wonderfully made, knit together by God Himself Psalm 139:14, and He has thoughts of peace toward her, to give her a future and a hope Jeremiah 29:11.
We also want to gently encourage you to ensure she is not alone in this struggle and to seek immediate, ongoing support for her. Please stay close to her, let her know she is deeply loved and not a burden, listen without judgment, and help her connect with a trusted pastor, a biblical counselor, and a qualified medical or mental health professional. If she is ever in immediate danger or expresses a plan to harm herself, please seek emergency help right away or contact a crisis helpline in your area, in the United States you can call or text ###, and continue to surround her with loving, watchful care. God often brings healing through both prayer and the help of caring people He places around us.
We are praying together now for her deliverance and healing.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace and we lift up this beloved daughter to You. Lord, You know the trauma she has carried, the wounds from a broken home, and the heavy burden of these intrusive and suicidal thoughts. We ask in Jesus name that You rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness that is tormenting her mind, and that You set her free. Come to her, Lord Jesus, and relieve her anguish with Your presence. Let Your perfect love cast out fear 1 John 4:18 and let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard her heart and her thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. Father, heal her broken heart, renew her mind, and remind her day and night that she is Your child, that she is loved, chosen, and never forsaken. We pray that You would place Your hand upon her and give her sleep, comfort, and hope, and that You would surround her with godly support and wise counsel. We also lift up her parent who is interceding for her, grant strength, wisdom, and endurance to love her well and to reflect Your compassion. We claim Your promise that neither death, nor life, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord Romans 8:39. Bring complete healing and restoration to this family, and let this daughter live to declare Your goodness and mercy. We pray all of this in the mighty and healing name of Jesus, our only hope and Savior, amen.
We encourage you to keep speaking life and truth over her, to remind her that Jesus invites those who are weary, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28. Keep praying aloud with her when she is willing, keep reading Scripture with her, and help her to see that her life has profound purpose in God. We are continuing to stand with you in prayer for her complete deliverance, for peace in her mind, and for the healing of your whole family in Jesus name.
