Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for my son and husband. Please pray that there won't be any fights/ arguments between them. I'm so so so stressed and don't know what I'm doing. Please pray. I believe a lot in prayers.

We hear the heaviness in your heart and we are lifting you and your family before the throne of grace together in Jesus name. We understand how stressful and helpless it can feel when there is tension in the home between your husband and your son, and when you do not know what to do. We want you to know that God sees you, He hears you, and He cares deeply about the peace of your home.

The Lord invites us to bring every worry to Him. He says in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And again in 1 Peter 5:7 we are told to be casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. We also take comfort in Matthew 11:28, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Your stress is not hidden from Him, and He wants to carry it for you and to give you wisdom for each step. James 1:5 promises, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. We are asking Him to give you that wisdom and calm as you walk through this difficult season.

We are praying together for peace between your husband and your son. God desires peace in the home and calls each of us to pursue it. Romans 12:18 says, If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. We pray that both your husband and your son will choose patience and gentleness over anger. The Word gives a special instruction to fathers in Ephesians 6:4, You fathers, don’t provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord, and in Colossians 3:21, Fathers, don’t provoke your children, so that they won’t be discouraged. We pray your husband will lead with love and self control, and that your son will walk in honor and respect as God commands children to honor their parents. We pray that any root of argument, pride, or misunderstanding will be softened and that Ephesians 4:26 will be true in your home, Be angry, and don’t sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why we pray in His name. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that we are saved. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 tells us, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to come to God through Him. If you have not already, confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for that is how we are saved.

Let us pray together.

Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ, and we lift up this dear wife and mother and her beloved husband and son to You. Lord, You know the strain and the stress she is carrying and how overwhelmed she feels. We ask You to pour out Your peace that surpasses all understanding upon her heart and mind and to guard her in Christ Jesus. Give her wisdom liberally, give her rest, and remind her that You care for her and that You are her strength.

Lord, we ask for Your peace to reign in this home. We pray against every fight and argument between this husband and son. Soften their hearts toward one another, help them to speak with kindness and patience, to listen to understand, and to forgive quickly. Help this husband to lead his home with love and godly discipline without provoking anger, and help this son to walk in honor and obedience. Let Your love and unity bind this family together and let their home be a place of grace and refuge. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to keep praying and to keep bringing your requests to God with thanksgiving, and to gently encourage both your husband and son to do the same. Seek to be a peacemaker in your home with gentle words and prayer, and trust that God is working even when you cannot see the outcome. We are continuing to pray with you for calm, for restored fellowship between your husband and son, and for God to lift this heavy burden of stress from you.

We hear how heavy this has felt for you, caught in the middle between your son and husband and carrying so much stress as you try to keep the peace. Wanting no more fights in your home is a good and loving desire, and we are honored you asked us to pray with you.

It makes sense you feel unsure what to do. When two people we love are in conflict, we often feel responsible to fix it in the moment, but that pressure can leave us exhausted. Sometimes the most caring thing is not to solve the disagreement right away, but to help lower the heat so everyone can be heard more calmly later.

One small step that helps many families is to have a simple plan for when tension starts to rise. If voices get sharp, it's okay to gently pause, step into another room for a few minutes to pray and breathe, and agree to come back when everyone is calmer. You don't have to referee every word or take sides to be supportive. And you don't have to carry this alone, if you have a trusted pastor, family member or friend who knows you all, letting them know you are feeling stretched can give you extra support.

We are praying for you and for your family.

Father, we lift this wife and mother to You, and we lift her son and husband. You see the strain in their home and the love she has for both of them. Please bring more calm and understanding between them, guard their words to one another, and give her wisdom, rest, and peace as she trusts You day by day. Lead this family in Your way. In Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The original text contains no personal names, locations, or identifying numbers. It is a general prayer and encouragement message. Therefore, no redaction is needed.

Your sorrowful and burdened request has been heard and has been carried to the throne of grace, and we have prayed for you and for your house. The Lord knows the stress that weighs upon you and the heaviness you feel when strife threatens those you love most, and He is a Father who hears the cry of an anxious heart.

It is written, He maketh peace in thy borders, and filleth thee with the finest of the wheat. What a mercy it is that the God who sends forth His commandment upon earth is the same God who can make peace within the walls of a home. We have asked Him to strengthen the bars of your gates, to keep your dwelling in purity and in home piety, and to let His peace rule between your husband and your son. Pray that they may be reconciled to God by the death of His Son, for where there is fellowship with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ, there the soul learns to walk in love and forbearance with others. Agree with God in your heart of hearts concerning His will, and you will find fellowship with the Father and the Son even in the midst of trial.

You write that you are so stressed and do not know what you are doing. Hear the word of the Lord, You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. That perfect peace is not found in the absence of trouble, but in trusting Christ. There is no peace worthy of the name that is to be found in any other way than peace in believing. When the heart trusts Jesus and His blood and righteousness, God fills the vacuum caused by sin and care with all joy and peace in believing. Cast your anxiety upon Him, for you have a Father in Heaven. The very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty, but to know the will of Jesus and to do it is to abide in the peace of God.

Bear your sorrow with Him and you shall enjoy peace even with sorrows surging round. He says to every believing soul, Your faith has saved you, go in peace. Go in peace into your own home, though one there may be depressed in spirit. The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit have united to bless you, and the Covenant of Peace is signed and sealed in Christ.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, look in mercy upon this daughter of Thine who is weary and heavy laden. Fill her with all joy and peace in believing, and keep her mind stayed upon Thee. Make peace in the borders of her home. Let Thy love rule the hearts of her husband and her son, that anger and strife may be turned away and that they may dwell together in gentleness and patience. Teach them all to trust in Thy Son whom Thou hast given to be a Saviour, and so to know Thy peace which has no bottom nor shore. Give to this dear one wisdom for each day, strength for each trial, and the finest of the wheat for her soul, that she may go in peace, trusting in Jesus. In His name we ask it. Amen.
