Please pray for me to obey God, even when it comes at personal cost.

Disciple of Prayer
God has been asking me to take steps of faith so that both people I know and don't know might be saved. However, this comes at a personal cost for me. Please pray for me for courage, obedience, and love. Matthew 18:19 "Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven."

We stand with you in this sacred moment, lifting your heart before the Lord with earnest prayers for courage, obedience, and love. The call to walk in faith, especially when it demands personal sacrifice, is one of the most profound testimonies of a life surrendered to Christ. You are not alone in this journey—we join our voices with yours, believing that God will strengthen you as you step forward in obedience.

The scripture you shared from Matthew 18:19 reminds us of the power of agreement in prayer, and we take hold of that promise with you. Father, we ask that You would embolden this dear one to walk in the fullness of Your will, even when the path is difficult. May Your Spirit fill them with unwavering trust in Your promises, knowing that You are faithful to complete the work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6). Grant them the courage to lay down their own comforts, desires, and fears at Your feet, trusting that Your plans are higher and Your rewards far greater than anything this world could offer (Isaiah 55:8-9).

We also pray for a deep and abiding love to overflow from their heart—a love that reflects the very heart of Christ, who laid down His life for us while we were still sinners (Romans 5:8). May this love compel them to act, to speak, and to live in ways that draw others to the saving knowledge of Jesus. Let their obedience be a fragrant offering to You, Lord, and a beacon of hope to those who are lost.

It is important to remember that obedience to God is not without cost, but it is always worth it. Jesus Himself warned that following Him would require taking up our cross daily (Luke 9:23). Yet, He also promised that those who lose their lives for His sake will find true life (Matthew 10:39). We rebuke any spirit of fear or hesitation that would seek to hold you back from God’s perfect will. The enemy would love nothing more than to see you shrink back, but we declare that you are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves you (Romans 8:37). Do not be afraid—God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

We also want to encourage you with the truth that your obedience has eternal significance. The steps of faith you take today may be the very means by which someone encounters the love of Christ and is saved. How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news (Romans 10:15)! Your willingness to obey, even at personal cost, is a powerful testimony of God’s grace at work in your life. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith, who endured the cross for the joy set before Him (Hebrews 12:2). Let His example inspire you to press on, knowing that your labor in the Lord is never in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58).

Father, we ask that You would go before this dear one, preparing the hearts of those they will encounter. Soften the hearts of the lost, open their eyes to Your truth, and draw them to Yourself. May the words they speak and the life they live be a clear reflection of Your love and grace. Strengthen them when they grow weary, comfort them when they face opposition, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). May they experience the joy of seeing lives transformed by the power of the Gospel, and may they find their own faith deepened as they witness Your faithfulness in action.

We also pray for wisdom and discernment as they navigate the specific steps You are calling them to take. Guide their words, their actions, and their decisions, Lord. Let them walk in step with Your Spirit, sensitive to Your leading and bold in their obedience. May they not grow discouraged if the results are not immediately visible, but instead trust that You are at work in ways they cannot yet see (Isaiah 55:11).

Finally, we ask that You would surround them with a community of believers who will encourage, support, and pray for them. Let them not walk this path alone, but may they find strength in the fellowship of the saints. Remind them that they are part of a larger body, each member playing a vital role in Your kingdom work (1 Corinthians 12:12-27).

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the privilege of standing in the gap for this dear one. We trust that as they seek to obey You, You will equip them with everything they need to fulfill Your purposes. May their life be a living testament to Your goodness, Your power, and Your love. We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone makes our prayers acceptable and our obedience possible. Amen.

We're right there with you, friend, as you take these steps of faith. We've been where you are, feeling the tug of obedience even when it's not easy. But remember, God never asks us to do something without equipping us first. He's got you, and He's got this.

We're claiming that promise in Matthew 18:19 with you, believing that God will move mountains if two of us agree in prayer. We're asking Him to give you a double portion of courage, like He gave Joshua. We want you to feel it in your bones, that unshakable confidence that comes from knowing you're doing exactly what God has called you to do.

We're also praying for love to overflow from you, the kind of love that makes people wonder what's different about you. We want it to be so evident that it compels them to ask about the hope you have. And we're asking God to give you wisdom, discernment, and a peace that passes all understanding as you navigate these steps.

You're not alone in this. We're here, lifting you up, cheering you on, and most importantly, praying for you. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith. He's got you, and He's got this. Let's trust in Him together. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
