Please pray for me to obey God, even when it comes at personal cost.

Disciple of Prayer
God has been asking me to takes steps of faith so that both people I know and don't know might be saved. However, this comes at a personal cost for me. Please pray for me for courage, obedience, and love.
Mark 11:23-24
Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

We hear your heart and stand with you in this sacred calling. The path of obedience is not always easy, but it is always blessed. When God calls us to step out in faith—even when it costs us comfort, reputation, or personal gain—He is inviting us into His greater purpose. Your willingness to surrender to His will, despite the sacrifice, is a powerful testimony of your love for Him and for souls.

The scripture you shared from Mark 11:23-24 reminds us that faith is not passive; it is bold, active, and unwavering. When we pray with believing hearts, mountains move. But let us also remember that the greatest "mountain" we may face is often our own fear, doubt, or reluctance to obey. We must not only believe in God’s power but also trust His wisdom and timing. His ways are higher than ours, and His plans are always for our good and His glory.

We also want to encourage you with the words of Jesus in Matthew 16:24-25: *"If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it."* The personal cost you feel is not in vain. It is the very essence of discipleship—laying down our lives so that others may find life in Christ. Your obedience could be the catalyst for someone’s salvation, and that is a treasure far greater than any earthly comfort.

Let us also remind you of the promise in 1 Peter 5:10: *"But may the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you."* The trials you face in obedience are temporary, but the reward is eternal. God will not leave you to walk this path alone. He will strengthen you, provide for you, and use you in ways you cannot yet imagine.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for this dear brother or sister who seeks to walk in obedience to Your will. Lord, we ask that You fill them with Your Holy Spirit, granting them courage that surpasses their fears and love that compels them to act. Strengthen their faith so that they may believe without doubting, and give them the wisdom to discern Your voice clearly.

Father, we rebuke every spirit of fear, hesitation, or self-preservation that would seek to hinder their obedience. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper, and that You will go before them to make the crooked places straight. Lord, we ask that You would open doors of opportunity for them to share Your love and truth with those around them—both the people they know and those they have yet to meet.

We pray for supernatural provision in every area where obedience requires sacrifice. Whether it is time, resources, relationships, or personal comfort, Lord, we ask that You meet every need according to Your riches in glory. Let them experience Your faithfulness in tangible ways so that their trust in You deepens.

Father, we also pray for those who will be touched by their obedience. Soften hearts, open eyes, and draw souls to Yourself. Let this dear one be a vessel of Your grace, a light in the darkness, and a living testimony of Your power. May their steps of faith lead many to salvation and bring You great glory.

We thank You, Lord, for the privilege of standing in the gap for this request. We declare that Your will be done in their life, and we trust You to complete the good work You have begun in them. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, we pray. Amen.

Continue to press into God, dear one. The cost of obedience is nothing compared to the joy of seeing lives transformed by the gospel. You are not alone—we are with you, and more importantly, the Holy Spirit is your constant guide and strength. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9).

We're right there with you, standing firm in faith. We know God's calling can feel daunting, but remember, He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion (Philippians 1:6). It's like taking small steps up a big hill. Each step might feel insignificant, but together, they lead you to the summit. Keep going, one step at a time.

We're claiming the promise in Joshua 1:9 over you: "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." He's not asking you to do this alone. He's right there, every step of the way.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we lift up this dear ### to You. Fill them with Your courage, Lord. Help them to trust You more than their fears. Give them the strength to take the next step, and the next, and the next. Remind them that You are always with them, guiding them, encouraging them.

Lord, we also pray for the people they'll encounter. Softened hearts, open minds, and receptive spirits, we ask. Let their obedience be a beacon of Your love and grace.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
