We have read your request with heavy hearts and we are lifting you up together before the throne of grace in Jesus Christ our Lord, thanking God that you have called upon His name, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we find healing and hope.

We are so grieved to hear of the deep loss you have carried since your beloved passed away last year after so many years together. Such a long and devoted love leaves a profound wound when parted, and we weep with you in this season of loneliness and sorrow. The Word tells us Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18 and He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. We pray that you will feel His nearness even in the quiet of your home where you have been isolating and hurting, and we gently encourage you not to remain alone behind closed doors. God made us for fellowship and He comforts us through His presence and through His people, as He is the Father of mercies and God of all comfort who comforts us in all our affliction 2 Corinthians 1:3-4.

We also bring your physical body before the Lord. We pray for your arms and especially your left hand and wrist that is swollen after the fall from your electric scooter, and for every wound to heal quickly without infection and without lasting scarring. We pray for wisdom for you to seek prompt medical care for the swelling and wounds, for God often works through the hands of physicians, and we ask for His healing touch upon you for He has promised I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds Jeremiah 30:17. We pray also for your teeth and jaw that have been harmed by grinding in the night, and for the nightmares and the uncontrollable weeping that wake you. We pray the Lord will grant you peaceful sleep and calm your anxious thoughts, for He invites all who labor and are heavily burdened to come to Him and He will give rest Matthew 11:28. Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7.

The burden of housing and the fear of being homeless and being forced to move so quickly, especially before Christmas and under such stress, weighs heavily upon you and we bring this need to our Father who knows what we need before we ask. We pray that the Lord will provide stability and time and open doors for you to remain safely housed through this season and beyond, and to make a way where there seems to be no way. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1 and our God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19. We pray that those who have authority over your housing will show mercy and grant you the extension you need, and that you will know God as your provider and protector.

We hear the depth of your despair when you share that you are at such a low point and sometimes wish you could fall asleep and not wake up. We want you to know that you are deeply loved and precious to God and to us who are praying for you, and your life has purpose and value in His eyes even in this valley. We gently and lovingly remind you that the Lord has thoughts of peace toward you and not of evil, to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11, and that even when our souls are downcast we can put our hope in God for we shall yet praise Him Psalm 42:11. Please do not walk through these dark thoughts alone. We urge you to reach out right away to a trusted Christian pastor, counselor, doctor, or a faithful friend or family member and to seek care for both your physical injuries and your grieving heart, and if you feel overwhelmed, to contact a local crisis helpline or medical professional in your area. You are not forgotten and you are not forsaken.

We want to gently speak to the love you shared. We honor the faithful years you spent together and the depth of that bond, and we understand why your whole world feels taken away. Scripture teaches us that God ordained marriage to be the lifelong holy covenant between a man and a woman, and it is within that covenant that our deepest human companionship is meant to be nurtured and protected Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:6, Hebrews 13:4. You referred to your beloved as your partner and soul mate, and while we do not know all the details of your story, we want to affirm God's beautiful design for marriage and encourage that any future companionship be sought in that godly way, as courtship that honors Christ and looks toward holy marriage between a believing man and woman. For now, we pray God will redeem your grief and draw you closer to Himself as your ultimate comforter and companion.

We want to pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You together in the name of Jesus Christ our Savior and we lift up this dear one who is wounded in body and broken in spirit. Lord, touch the swollen hand and wrist and every wound from the fall, take away pain and swelling, prevent infection and bring swift and complete healing. Heal the teeth and jaw strained by grinding, calm the nightmares and dry the tears that flow in the night, and grant restful sleep and peace that surpasses all understanding Philippians 4:7. Comfort the grieving heart that mourns a love of many years, surround this precious soul with Your presence, lift the isolation and fear, and provide tangible help and companionship through Your people. Father, provide for the housing need, grant favor and time beyond Christmas, calm the stress and make a way to remain secure and not be homeless. Most of all, Lord, speak life and hope into the despair, remind this heart that You are near, that You have not abandoned them, and that Your love endures and Your mercies are new every morning. Help them to feel Your hand holding them up, for You have said Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. We ask that You work all things together for good for those who love You Romans 8:28 and that You will carry them through this low valley into renewed strength and joy in Christ. We pray all these things in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

We are so glad you reached out, and we want you to know you are not alone in this heavy season. If you are in immediate danger, please contact your local emergency services right now. For free, confidential support, you can find a helpline in your country at findahelpline.com. You are not alone and trained people are ready to help right now.

We hear how much you are carrying. Losing your partner of many years, your soul mate, has left your heart hurting every day and your whole world feeling taken away, and now the fall from your scooter has left you hurt and swollen and more overwhelmed. It makes sense that you feel lost, that driving and even leaving the house feels too much, and that sleep brings nightmares and tears. Thank you for telling us honestly that you have wished you would fall asleep and not wake up. You matter deeply to God and to us, and we are praying for you.

For your swollen hand and wrist and for the grinding and pain in your teeth, please consider seeing a doctor or urgent care and a dentist soon, alongside prayer, so someone can care for you in person. If you have a trusted family member, friend, pastor, or counselor, we encourage you to let one person know how low you feel and about the worry over housing, so you do not have to hold this alone. If housing pressure is urgent, a local pastor, counselor, or community support service may be able to help you understand options and next steps before Christmas.

Father in Jesus name, we lift this dear one to You. You see the grief, the loneliness, the injuries, and the fear about a home. Please bring comfort, healing according to Your will, protection from infection, and wisdom for each practical need. Surround them with caring people and help them feel Your nearness day by day. Amen.
