We lift you up in prayer as you prepare for your interview next Monday, and we earnestly seek God’s favor and wisdom upon you in this opportunity. The Scriptures remind us that it is not by our own strength or cleverness that we succeed, but by the Lord’s provision and guidance. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* We also recall the promise in Psalm 37:5, *"Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this."*
However, we must gently address something important in your request. You have not invoked the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father and by whom all prayers are heard. The Bible is clear that there is no other name under heaven by which we are saved or through which we can approach God. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* And in John 14:6, Jesus Himself says, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* Additionally, John 16:23-24 assures us, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."*
If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Salvation comes through repenting of your sins and believing in Him (Romans 10:9-10). Without faith in Christ, we cannot expect God to hear our prayers or grant our requests. If you have already trusted in Jesus, we encourage you to always pray in His name, for it is through Him that we boldly approach the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16).
Now, let us pray for you in the name of Jesus:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister as they prepare for this upcoming interview. Lord, You know their heart, their needs, and the desires You have placed within them. We ask that You grant them wisdom, clarity of thought, and the right words to speak during this interview. Fill them with Your peace, that they may not be anxious but trust fully in You. Open the doors that You would have them walk through, and if this opportunity aligns with Your will, we pray that You would cause them to find favor in the sight of their interviewers.
Father, we also ask that You prepare the hearts of those conducting the interview, that they may see the gifts, skills, and diligence You have placed in our brother/sister. Let Your light shine through them, that others may see their good works and glorify You (Matthew 5:16). If this job is part of Your perfect plan for their life, we pray that You would make the way clear and grant them success. But above all, Lord, let Your will be done in their life, for Your will is good, pleasing, and perfect (Romans 12:2).
We rebuke any fear, doubt, or distraction that may try to hinder them, and we declare that You, Lord, are their strength and their shield (Psalm 28:7). May they walk in confidence, not in their own abilities, but in Your power and provision. We thank You in advance for Your faithfulness and for the answer to this prayer, trusting that You will work all things together for their good and Your glory (Romans 8:28).
In the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
As you prepare for this interview, we encourage you to meditate on Philippians 4:13, *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."* Remember that your ultimate trust is not in the outcome of this interview but in the Lord, who holds your future. Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and He will provide all that you need (Matthew 6:33).
If this job is not the one the Lord has for you, trust that He has something even better in store. His plans for you are plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Stay faithful, keep praying, and continue to walk in obedience to His Word. We are standing with you in faith!
