Upcoming job interview next Monday

Servant of All
Dear Lord, my heavenly Father, I pray for your assistance and blessing over the job interview next Monday. It will be a great opportunity that will improve my current financial and career situation. Lord, please grant me enough time to prepare by giving me easier nights with my toddler and baby. I also pray for enough sleep and quiet time in this chaotic weekend. Lord, I pray you will pour your wisdom upon me in my preparation, so I can present myself authentically. I also pray for confidence and assistance on the day, so I will present myself in the right way. Lord, please take away my worries and anxiety, as they distract me from doing my prep now. Lord, please remind me that this is part of my discipleship and I should do the good work to glorify your name. Please help me to fix my eyes on the cross at all times. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen

We join with you in prayer before our heavenly Father for this important opportunity next Monday and we thank you for bringing this need to the Lord so faithfully and in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone we have access to the Father.

We hear your heart in this busy and demanding season with a toddler and a baby, and the weight of wanting to provide well while also preparing diligently. The Lord sees your labor both at home and in your work, and He cares deeply about your financial and career needs. We are encouraged that you desire to do this preparation as part of your discipleship and to glorify God, for whatever we do we are called to do heartily as for the Lord and not for men as Colossians 3:23 teaches. When you commit your works to the Lord, your plans will be established as Proverbs 16:3 reminds us.

We also hear your struggle with worries and anxiety as you try to prepare in a chaotic weekend with little sleep. Scripture speaks directly to this and we cling to it with you, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control as 2 Timothy 1:7 says, and He promises If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5. We also remember the call to look to Jesus, looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith Hebrews 12:2, which is exactly your desire to fix your eyes on the cross.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we lift up this dear parent to You in the name of Jesus Christ. We thank You for the gift of these little ones, for children are a heritage of the Lord Psalm 127:3, and for the opportunity You have provided for this interview. Lord we ask for Your mercy and help over this weekend, grant easier nights for the children and sufficient sleep and quiet time for preparation. Pour out Your wisdom liberally as Your Word promises, so that preparation may be clear, focused, and authentic. On Monday, grant confidence not in self but in You, calm the heart, steady the mind, and let words be spoken with grace and truth. Take away anxious thoughts and replace them with Your perfect peace that guards heart and mind in Christ. Help our sibling in Christ to do this good work unto You, to trust Your sovereign will over the outcome, and to keep eyes fixed on Jesus whatever the result. We ask that Your will be done and that You would be glorified in this process. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to cast your cares on Him because He cares for you as 1 Peter 5:7 says, and to rest in His provision. Prepare diligently as unto the Lord, but trust the outcome to His loving hands, knowing He will provide what is best for you and your family. Do not fear, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Isaiah 41:10. We are praying for rest for you this weekend, clarity in your preparation, and peace on Monday as you present yourself faithfully before others and ultimately before the Lord.

We are praying with you as Monday approaches. We can hear both the hope in this opportunity and the weight you are carrying trying to prepare while caring for a toddler and a baby. It makes sense that sleep is short and worries are loud right now.

What stood out to us is your desire to do this preparation as part of your discipleship, to work well and glorify God, not just to get the job. Holding that focus can actually ease some pressure, it reminds you that your faithfulness in preparing is what you can offer, while the outcome rests with the Lord.

For this chaotic weekend, it may help to keep preparation in small, realistic windows rather than waiting for a long quiet stretch that may not come. If you have a spouse, family or trusted friend nearby, consider asking for one or two specific blocks of time to focus, even 30 to 45 minutes at a time, and use the rest for rest when you can. Writing down your worries on paper before you sit to prepare can also help clear your mind to focus.

Father, we bring this parent to You in Jesus' name. Grant a little more rest this weekend, quiet moments to prepare, and clarity and calm on Monday to speak authentically and with confidence. Guard their heart from anxious thoughts, help them fix their eyes on You, and provide for their family according to Your good will. Amen.

Your prayer for the coming Monday has been laid before the Lord with thankfulness, and we join our hearts with yours in seeking His gracious help.

You speak of a great opportunity, of little ones who break your nights, of a chaotic weekend, and of worries that distract you from preparation. Here is a true word for such a season, "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You." That peace is not a distant promise but a present possession, to be enjoyed even when thronging duties press. To do the will of Jesus, this is rest, and the blood of Jesus whispers peace within even when sorrows surge round.

Have you not found, as many have, that the very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. Anxiety does not prepare the mind, it wearies it. It will bring you midnight where God would give you daylight. Therefore cast your care upon Him who cares for you. Job in his ashes learned this, that though the Lord seemed to frown, yet the way of childlike confidence was still open, and in all his losses he sinned not nor charged God foolishly. So you also may come boldly, not with a fretful spirit, but with a stayed mind, trusting the wisdom and goodness of your heavenly Father.

We have prayed for you that the Lord would grant you needful rest as He sees best, and quiet hours for preparation, that He would anoint you with fresh oil and renew your strength for the work before you. We have asked that He would pour His wisdom upon you, that you may present yourself authentically and with a clear conscience as one who would do all to the glory of God, that He would grant you confidence without self reliance, and calm your heart on the day itself. Above all we have asked that He would take away that unbelieving anxiety which hinders prayer and labour, and fix your eyes upon the cross where perfect peace was purchased for you.

Remember that this labour is part of your discipleship. Whether the door be opened or shut, your calling is to be faithful, to do good work unto the Lord and not unto men, and to find your rest not in the outcome but in Christ Himself. He who has vanquished death and all its powers can speak peace to you behind closed doors, and say, Peace be unto you.

May the Lord keep you in that peace which passes all understanding, guard your heart and mind through Christ Jesus, and make your preparation and your interview to be for His praise.

We commend you to Him who hears prayer, in the name of Jesus Christ our only hope and Saviour. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so.
