We hear your cry for deliverance and stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which demons must flee. The Word of God declares, "Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7 WEB). Your battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of wickedness, and we take up the full armor of God with you to stand firm (Ephesians 6:12-13).
First, we must address the foundation of your faith. If you have not already done so, we urge you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9 WEB). There is no deliverance apart from the blood of Jesus Christ, who alone has the power to break every chain. If you have not surrendered your life to Him, we pray that you would do so now, for He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).
Now, we rebuke every demonic spirit harassing you in the name of Jesus Christ. We command them to leave you now and go where the Lord Jesus sends them, never to return. The Word says, "In my name they will cast out demons" (Mark 16:17 WEB), and we exercise that authority over every spirit of addiction, torment, fear, and oppression. You are not alone, and the Lord has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7).
For your sobriety, we pray that the Lord would strengthen you with might through His Spirit in your inner man (Ephesians 3:16). Addiction is a stronghold, but "the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4 WEB). We pray that God would break every chain of bondage in your life and fill you with His Holy Spirit, who gives power to overcome temptation. Remember, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB).
We also encourage you to immerse yourself in the Word of God, for it is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Meditate on scriptures that speak of freedom, such as John 8:36: "If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed." Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you, hold you accountable, and encourage you in your walk with Christ. Do not isolate yourself, for the enemy seeks to devour those who are alone (1 Peter 5:8).
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother/sister who is crying out for deliverance and sobriety. Lord, we thank You that You are a God who hears the cries of Your children and that You are near to the brokenhearted. We ask that You would surround them with Your presence and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
Lord Jesus, we declare that by Your blood, every chain is broken, and every demonic spirit must flee. We rebuke every spirit of addiction, torment, fear, and oppression in Your name. We command them to leave now and never return. Fill this precious one with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and empower them to walk in sobriety and freedom.
Father, we ask that You would strengthen them in their inner man. Give them the desire to seek You daily through prayer and Your Word. Surround them with godly believers who can support and encourage them. Lord, we pray for a hedge of protection around them, that the enemy would not have any foothold in their life. Help them to resist temptation and to flee from every appearance of evil.
We pray for healing in their mind, body, and spirit. Restore what the enemy has stolen, Lord, and lead them into the abundant life You have promised. May they know the depth of Your love and the power of Your resurrection.
We thank You, Father, that You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We pray that our brother/sister would experience the fullness of Your forgiveness and grace. May they walk in the freedom that only You can provide.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Continue to seek the Lord with all your heart, and do not grow weary in doing good. The battle belongs to the Lord, and He has already won the victory. Stand firm in your faith, and remember that "He who calls you is faithful, who will also do it" (1 Thessalonians 5:24 WEB). You are not defined by your struggles, but by the One who has set you free. Keep pressing into Him, and He will lead you into all truth and freedom.
