### 1959: I have 3 members in family who are bipolar with anxiety - medicine is used to keep them balanced. Medicine maintains their lives functioning. We all pray together about the same situation. With faith in God - they stay on medication. May God our father bless you with answer to your question, in Jesus name. Amen

God has allowed man to grow in his knowledge of medicine, which God often uses in the healing process. God has chosen to allow the practice of medicine to progress, and there is no biblical reason not to avail ourselves of it.

We must remember that the Bible does not expressly forbid medicine. Medications are not inherently evil. In fact, the Bible speaks of Timothy’s need to “use a little wine” for his illness (1 Timothy 5:23). And Luke was a doctor (Colossians 4:14). So there is nothing wrong with the use of medicine; it is the abuse that is wrong and what the Bible would condemn.

We all need help sometimes so be careful, wasn't it Paul in the Bible who suffered from depression and if I remember right it was not lifted from him. I hate to see someone spiral downhill when sometimes God works through Dr. ###.
