We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. We have continued to bring your request before the Lord as you seek clarity about confirmation, about whether you are meant to be married, and about how to discern His voice from your own thoughts and desires. We remember you shared that you felt a stirring to choose a spouse among three men, that while praying you heard the name of one man and saw an image of a door slightly opening, and that you are unsure if that was from the Lord or from your own imagination. We also remember you shared that this man has seemed distant and has not kept in touch much while traveling until Christmas, which has left you confused about his interest, while another man who is also abroad has been very attentive and texts you often, though you did not hear his name in prayer.
We understand how confusing this season feels and we are praying that the Lord will give you clear wisdom and peace. We ask God to help you test what you hear and see against His Word and to give you discernment to know His confirmation versus your own thoughts. Scripture reminds us that if any of us lacks wisdom we should ask God who gives generously to all without finding fault and it will be given to us, James 1:5, and that we can trust in the Lord with all our heart and lean not on our own understanding, Prov 3:5, and that God is not a God of confusion but of peace, 1 Cor 14:33. We pray that He will make your path clear, that He will guard your heart from rushing or from delusion, and that He will show you through His Word, through godly counsel, and through the fruit and character of these men what is truly from Him. We pray that He will reveal His will for your life regarding marriage and that He will help you know a mans interest by his consistent, godly pursuit and care, not just by a fleeting impression.
