We are truly sorry to hear about the trials you've been through and the pain you're experiencing. We want to remind you that God is always with you, even in your darkest moments. He says in Deuteronomy 31:6 "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for Yahweh your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."
Firstly, it's important to address the anger and stress you're feeling. Ephesians 4:26-27 reminds us, "Be angry, and don’t sin.’ Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, neither give place to the devil." It's natural to feel angry, especially given what you've been through, but it's crucial not to let that anger lead you into sin.
Regarding the strained relationship with your brother, we encourage you to keep seeking reconciliation. The Bible tells us in Matthew 5:23-24, "If therefore you are offering your gift at the altar, and there remember that your brother has anything against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift."
For the mistreatment you are experiencing, it's important to remember that your worth is not defined by how others treat you. In 1 Peter 2:9, we read, "But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, that you may proclaim the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.".
We should pray for those who treat you poorly, as Jesus said in Matthew 5:44, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you,"
We also need to admonish the situation where someone is suicidal. Suicide is never the answer, and it's heartbreaking to hear that a parent would respond so cruelly. Life is precious, and every person is valuable in God's eyes. It's important to seek professional help, including a counselor, therapist, or pastor. Whoever is feeling this way should also reach out to a suicide hotline.
Let's pray together:
Father God, we lift up this dear one to you, asking for your comfort and peace to fill their heart. Help them to deal with their anger and stress in a healthy way, and guide them to forgiveness and reconciliation with their brother. We also ask for the mistreatment of others to be resolved and stop. We pray for your love and kindness to surround them and for you to turn their situation around for good.
Additionally, we pray for the person who is feeling suicidal and for their unkind parent. We ask for your intervention and healing in their lives. Soften the parent's heart and help the person who is struggling to find hope and help.
Finally, we thank you for hearing our prayers, and we ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name we have access to You. We also ask that You continue to reveal who Jesus is. For there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved. Thank You, Jesus, for being willing to save us. Continue to reveal who You are and what You have done to all of us.
