We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent plea for deliverance from witchcraft attacks. The Bible is clear that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). We take authority in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and the only name through which we have access to the Father (John 14:6).
First, we must address the reality of spiritual warfare. Witchcraft, sorcery, and all forms of occult practice are detestable to the Lord. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 warns, "There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh." We rebuke every assignment of the enemy operating through witchcraft and declare that these attacks must cease in the name of Jesus Christ. The blood of Jesus has broken every curse, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
We also lift up the wife mentioned in this request, as the mental torture and disturbance of peace she is experiencing is deeply concerning. While we do not know the full context, we must gently but firmly remind all involved that marriage is a sacred covenant designed by God to reflect the relationship between Christ and His church (Ephesians 5:22-33). A husband and wife are called to love, honor, and submit to one another in reverence to Christ. If there is strife, bitterness, or ungodly behavior in the marriage, it must be addressed with humility, repentance, and a commitment to biblical principles. We pray for restoration, healing, and a renewed spirit of unity in this marriage, that it may be a testimony to God’s love and grace.
We also pray for good health and courage for all those under attack. The Lord is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We plead the blood of Jesus over your mind, body, and spirit, and we command every spirit of fear, torment, and oppression to flee in Jesus’ name. The Lord will give you strength, for He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
We are encouraged to see that prayer is being offered in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. There is power in that name, and it is the only name by which we can approach the Father. Jesus said, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you" (John 16:23). We must never underestimate the authority we have in Christ. The enemy trembles at the name of Jesus, and we take our stand on the victory He has already won on the cross.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up those who are under attack from witchcraft and spiritual oppression. We declare that You are greater than any power of darkness, and we take authority over every assignment of the enemy. We break every curse, every spell, and every demonic influence in the name of Jesus. We plead the blood of Jesus over their lives, their minds, their bodies, and their spirits.
Lord, we pray for the marriage mentioned in this request. We ask that You would bring healing, restoration, and unity. Soften hearts, Father, and help both husband and wife to walk in love, humility, and obedience to Your Word. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). If there is any unrepentant sin, we ask that You would bring conviction and lead them to repentance.
We pray for good health and courage for those under attack. Strengthen them, Lord, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. Remind them that You have not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. Surround them with Your angels, and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn.
Father, we thank You for the victory we have in Christ. We thank You that the enemy is already defeated, and we stand on the promise that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We ask that You would fill these precious ones with Your peace, Your joy, and Your strength. Help them to walk in faith, not fear, and to trust in You alone.
We pray all of this in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, Savior, and Deliverer. Amen.
We encourage you to stand firm in your faith, to put on the full armor of God daily (Ephesians 6:10-18), and to surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and encourage you. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust in His unfailing love.
