Please Pray for Austin

IN MY DISTRESS, I CALLED UPON THE LORD

I CRIED TO MY GOD FOR HELP.

FROM HIS TEMPLE HE HEARD MY VOICE;

MY CRY CAME BEFORE HIM, INTO HIS EARS.

TO SURVIVE THE STORMS OF LIFE,

BE ANCHORED TO THE ROCK OF AGES.

So many times we try to handle all our problems by ourselves. Well, that is a good recipe for distress and even failure. This verse tells us that God hears us when we come to Him and trust Him.

It's very similar to another Psalm David wrote which contains,

"I sought the Lord and He heard me and delivered me from all my fears." Psalm 34:4

And the thought of a Proverb,

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths."

Lord Jesus, we lean upon your word and ask for your hand upon Austin. Lord, I just lay this child at your feet. I ask for intervention and deliverance from the enemy, from this terrible coughing that racks his body. Lord, you know his needs and I ask your merciful hand upon him to heal him. Thank you, Lord. Amen

Father God, as I come before You this day in prayer, there is one thing I am certain of, and that is that Vida trusts You with all of her heart. I know that this mother's cry has been received into Your loving ears, and that Your heart aches for her sorrow. Father, please come to Vida with the peace and rest that only You can provide. Reach out Your hand of healing and touch Austin I pray. Remove this sickness from his body, renew each and every cell to perfect health. I pray that all of his medical challenges are being solved by You, and that one day, full and complete healing will be his gift. I also lift Scott and Jordan to the foot of Your throne. I pray that someone, or something, would find that vulnerable spot in their heart, mind and spirit that recognizes its need for You. Guard and protect these young men as we wait upon Your plan. I pray You would give Vida the reassurance that she has done what she can, and the rest is in Your hands. She is a devoted and loving mother, just as You created her to be. I pray that now is her season of blessing, peace, comfort and renewal. Father, keep Vida so close that she can hear Your very heartbeat, let her see You in something every day. To You be all honor, glory and praise for all You have done in this family, and all that You continue to do. In the holy name of Jesus, I pray with thanks and hope. Amen.

The day has come and gone. But your love for Austin remains. Let love lift him into your holy healing hands. Lord, we are searching for a modern day miracle. You do them all the time. You provided a miracle for my cousin Kyle when the four wheeler fell on his head. You intervened and returned him to his family. Modern doctors said there was no hope. You proved them wrong.
