Please lower hi A1C

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Despite fasting don’t understand this very hi ### Lord Please lower it and this Heat could be due to this heatwave as well. This has never gone this long and the distress it’s causing missing appts due to this can’t do anything but try to rest. Have mercy Jesus and cool and protect us. Amen

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this burden of physical distress and confusion over the high A1C levels that persist despite fasting. Father, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who knits our bodies together and sustains us moment by moment. Your Word reminds us in Psalm 139:14, "I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well." Lord, we ask that You would intervene in this situation, bringing clarity, healing, and relief from the heat and discomfort that has lingered far too long.

We pray for wisdom and understanding regarding this medical concern. Father, we ask that You would guide the hands and minds of healthcare providers, giving them insight into how to best address this issue. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Lord, we trust in You to direct the steps of those who are seeking answers, and we ask that You would provide the necessary appointments, treatments, and solutions to bring about healing.

We also lift up the distress and frustration that comes with feeling unwell for an extended period. The heatwave has added to this burden, making it difficult to find comfort or relief. Father, we ask that You would bring a cool and soothing presence into this situation, just as You promised in Isaiah 26:3-4, "You will keep whoever’s mind is steadfast in perfect peace, because he trusts in you. Trust in Yahweh forever, for in Yah, Yahweh, is an everlasting Rock." Lord, we pray for peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or despair that may be trying to take hold. Your Word declares in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." Lord, we stand on this promise and ask that You would replace any fear with Your perfect love and peace. We also pray for strength and endurance, knowing that You will never leave nor forsake us, as Deuteronomy 31:6 assures us.

Father, we ask that You would lower this A1C level according to Your will, bringing it into a healthy range. We trust in Your timing and Your plan, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We pray for patience and perseverance during this trial, and we ask that You would use this situation to draw hearts closer to You.

We also want to gently address the mention of mercy in the name of Jesus. While we are grateful that the name of Jesus was invoked, we want to emphasize the importance of knowing Him personally as Lord and Savior. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and the promise of eternal life. If there is any uncertainty about this relationship with Jesus, we encourage seeking Him with all your heart, confessing sins, and inviting Him to be the Lord of your life. Romans 10:9-10 tells us, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation."

Heavenly Father, we lift up this prayer in the mighty name of Jesus, trusting in Your power to heal, restore, and bring comfort. We ask that You would surround this situation with Your love and mercy, providing relief from the heat, lowering the A1C levels, and bringing peace to a weary heart. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in all things. Amen.

We hear the exhaustion and the bewilderment in your words, and we don't want you to carry that alone. You're doing what you know to do, fasting, seeking the Lord, and still watching a number on a screen tell a different story. That shakes a person. Add a prolonged heatwave that traps you indoors, steals your energy, and makes even simple tasks feel impossible, and of course distress rises. When our bodies seem to betray us and our spiritual disciplines feel unanswered, the temptation is to turn inward and panic. This isn't a failure of faith; it's simply the real strain of living in a body that is struggling.

One thing we do want to gently name: extended fasting can sometimes spike stress hormones and further confuse blood sugar, especially when you're already under physical strain from the heat. It doesn't mean you've done something wrong, only that your body may be asking for a different kind of care right now. We would encourage you, alongside prayer, not instead of it, to prioritize getting to that medical appointment as soon as you safely can, even if it means asking someone to drive you during a cooler part of the day. A doctor can help untangle what's going on far better than we can guess.

In the meantime, we sit with you in the discomfort. You are not forgotten.

Jesus, in this moment of heat and helplessness, be the shade over this dear one's body and spirit. Cool the room, calm the racing thoughts, and bring a clear path forward. We ask for mercy on their health, guide the hands and minds of the doctors they need to see, and in Your timing bring that A1C down safely. Hold them steady until then. In Your name, amen.

You speak of a high A1C and a heat that has lingered so long you are shut in and missing your appointed duties. This is a furnace indeed, but the Lord knows how to temper the heat for His children. It is no little thing when the frail tabernacle of the body grows weak and hinders our going forth. Yet I would have you remember that in Christ there is a present rest, a rest given even now to those who come to Him. It is not a rest after death alone, but a rest entered into while yet in this world of trouble. Our Lord invites, “Come unto me, and I will give you rest,” and He gives it there and then. If you are trusting in Him, that rest is yours already, though the body aches and the sun beats down.

And I want you to see that this rest is not a slothful ease, but rest in motion, rest with the yoke upon you. It is the rest of a learner: “Learn of me, and ye shall find rest.” True repose for the child of God is rest on the wing, rest in service even when service is taken from you for a season. Missing appointments may be the Lord’s appointment for you, a blessed interruption to teach you to wait only upon Him. While you are forced to rest, learn of Christ; take His yoke willingly and you shall find that deep, abiding rest which the world can neither give nor take away. Trust and you shall rest!

As for the sickness and the burning heat, I would point you to the healing that flows from our Lord Jesus. There is abundance of healing power in Christ and His salvation, not only the ripe fruit of His finished work, but the very leaves of the Tree of Life are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue. Touch but the hem of His garment, and there is virtue to cool this fever and restore what is amiss. Indeed, when the Lord Jesus healed the man sick of the palsy, He did not first address the trembling limbs, but said, “Son, be of good cheer; thy sins are forgiven thee.” Pardon and healing are one in His gracious hand. First forgiveness, then healing. Therefore, let this trial drive you not merely to seek a lower number in your blood, but to cast yourself afresh upon His mercy for the forgiveness of every sin. The true healing begins at the root, in the soul’s peace with God. When He speaks pardon, the bitterness is dried up, and the cup that comes to your lips is changed into a healing draught.

The heat is no strange thing to the Sun of Righteousness; He has healing in His wings. He who calmed the raging sea can calm the fevered frame and the oppressive air. He who took Peter’s wife’s mother by the hand and lifted her up from a great fever is the same yesterday, today, and forever. There is healing in the contact of His divine sympathy. He is touched with the feeling of our infirmities. Perhaps the power of the Lord is specially present to heal in this very hour as you listen to His Word. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. So even now, as the Word is brought before you, Christ is saying, “I will; be thou clean.”

Therefore, do not let your heart be troubled. You have tried fasting, and still the A1C is high. Human remedies may prove but physicians of no value, yet the Great Physician never fails. He who made your body can restore it in a moment if He wills, and if not, His grace shall be made perfect in your weakness. The time spent indoors, missing appointments, is not lost if it is spent at Jesus’ feet. Even his rest on earth was often broken, but He ever withdrew into the wilderness to pray, and the power to heal attended Him. Let your forced rest become a wilderness season of prayer and leaning upon Him. Rest in Him whose heart was smitten with a spear; He will save you and sustain you.

May the Lord cool this fevered time, both in body and in soul. May He pour upon you the balm of His own presence, so that though the heat continue without, within there may be a garden enclosed, a spring shut up, a fountain sealed. And when the healing comes, whether by gradual renewal or a sudden lifting up, see that you rise to serve Him. Our Lord’s healing of that dear woman in Peter’s house was immediately followed by service: “she arose, and ministered unto them.” So it shall be with you. First healing, then service. But first, take the healing that comes by faith in His name. I pray you may know the pardon of every sin, and in that pardoning love find health for your soul and your body according to His will. The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and give you peace. Amen.
