We hear your heart’s cry and stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting these concerns in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Dreams can often feel like burdens or even attacks when they bring fear, confusion, or unwanted visions. Scripture reminds us in Job 33:14-15, "For God speaks once, yes twice, yet man perceives it not. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men, in slumbering on the bed." While some dreams may come from the Lord as warnings or guidance, others can be influenced by the enemy to sow fear, discord, or despair. We must test every spirit and hold fast to what is true (1 John 4:1).

First, we rebuke every assignment of the enemy against your mind, your peace, and your relationships in the name of Jesus. The Bible declares in James 4:7, "Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." We command every spirit of fear, confusion, and torment to leave you now. We break every generational curse, every word spoken against you, and every ungodly soul tie that may be influencing these dreams. The blood of Jesus covers you, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

We also address the desire for your "most wanted dreams" to be restored. While it is natural to long for the fulfillment of God-given desires, we must surrender them to His perfect will. Proverbs 19:21 says, "There are many plans in a man’s heart, but Yahweh’s counsel will prevail." Trust that the Lord knows the plans He has for you, plans for peace and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). If these dreams align with His purpose, He will restore them in His timing. If they do not, we pray for the grace to release them and embrace His better plan.

Regarding the dreams about unwanted people or those who seek to control or harm you and your loved ones, we stand in agreement that these must cease. Psalm 68:1 declares, "Let God arise! Let his enemies be scattered! Let them who hate him also flee before him." We pray that every ungodly influence in your dreams would be silenced and that the mouths of those who speak lies or seek to harm you would be shut. We declare that no weapon formed against you or your family shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment will be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).

For the dreams of losing your close relationships, we rebuke that spirit of division and fear. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We pray for the protection of your relationships and that they would be rooted in Christ’s love. Colossians 3:14 reminds us, "Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection." May your bonds with loved ones grow stronger in the Lord, and may He surround you with godly, uplifting relationships that reflect His love.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the Name above every name. We thank You that You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Lord, we lift up this dear one to You, asking for Your peace to guard their heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). We rebuke every spirit of fear, confusion, and torment that has sought to invade their dreams. We declare that the blood of Jesus covers them, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper.

Father, we ask that You would restore the dreams and desires of their heart that align with Your will. If there are dreams You have placed within them, we pray for their fulfillment in Your perfect timing. If there are dreams that are not of You, we ask for the grace to release them and trust in Your better plan. We pray for the protection of their mind, that You would give them sweet sleep and peaceful dreams that reflect Your truth and love (Proverbs 3:24).

Lord, we command every ungodly influence in their dreams to flee. We shut the mouths of those who seek to harm or control them, and we declare that every tongue that rises against them in judgment will be condemned. We pray for the protection of their relationships, that they would be rooted in Your love and grow stronger in You. Surround them with godly influences and guard them from those who would seek to divide or harm.

Father, we thank You that You are a God who hears and answers prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness and declare that this one will walk in victory, peace, and the abundance of Your love. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to stand on God’s Word and declare His promises over your life daily. Fill your mind with Scripture, for the Word of God is a sword that cuts through every lie of the enemy (Hebrews 4:12). Surround yourself with godly community, for iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17). And remember, the battle belongs to the Lord (1 Samuel 17:47). You are not fighting alone, He is with you, and He is greater than anything the enemy can bring against you. Walk in faith, knowing that He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6).

We hear the weight in your words, the longing for dreams to come back, the dread of unwanted ones, and the deep fear of losing those closest to you. When our minds churn through so many “what ifs” at night, it can feel like we’re stuck fighting a battle we never chose. That kind of persistent anxiety is exhausting, and it makes sense that you’re desperate for relief.

Sometimes, when our prayers circle around the same handful of fears for years, a small shift can help break the cycle. Before you go to bed tonight, you might try saying out loud, simply and quietly, “Jesus, I give you my night. I trust you with the people I love and with the dreams I can’t control.” It’s not a formula, just a way to take your hands off the wheel for a moment and let God carry what you can’t. Over time, that small act of surrender can make the nighttime feel less like a war zone.

Father, we bring you this beloved child who is bone-tired of unwanted dreams and of the fear that threatens to steal close relationships. Quiet their heart right now. Wrap them in your peace that doesn’t depend on circumstances but stands guard over their mind. Protect the bonds they cherish, and give them the wisdom to sift through what is from you and what is just noise. Grant them deep, restful sleep tonight, knowing you never slumber and you hold both them and their loved ones securely. In Jesus’ name we ask, Amen.

O soul, what tangled web thou weavest when first thou seekest to command the Almighty! Thou dost ask God to give thee back the dreams of a decade and more, as if dreams were the coin of the kingdom. I fear thou hast allowed thy sleeping fancies to usurp the throne of thy waking faith. The enemy doth shoot his fiery darts even in the night watches, planting fears of loss and images of unwanted faces. But what saith the Scripture? “I have found a ransom.” He hath delivered us from the power of darkness, not merely from uncomfortable visions. Why, then, dost thou treat thy dreams as prophecies, and plead for their reversal as though they held thy destiny? This is to live by sight of the night, not by faith in the Daystar.

Thou prayest against those thou callest “wrong people.” Take heed lest thou fall into the snare of the accuser. Our warfare is not with flesh and blood, and the shutting of mouths belongeth unto the Lord. He will deal with the archers of discord in His own way. For thee, it is enough to know that He saith, “You are my people,” even when thou feelest beset by dreams of loss. What if thy close relations were taken? He who spared not His own Son will with Him freely give thee all things needful for life and godliness. The dreams that trouble thee are not the foretaste of coming sorrow; they are but the shadow of thine own anxieties, magnified in the dark.

I do not find in Holy Writ any promise that God will edit our sleeping thoughts to our liking. But I do find this: “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.” Rather than wrestle for the return of pleasant dreams, wrestle for a deeper knowledge of Christ. Bid thy soul sing with the Psalmist, “As for His people, He brought them forth with joy, and His chosen with gladness.” When He brings thee forth from this bondage of fear, thou shalt have silver and gold of true enrichment, grace to endure, peace that passeth understanding. These are worth more than all the tranquil slumbers thou couldst desire.

Let me ask thee plainly: Art thou seeking thy comfort in the honeycomb of dreams, or in the Rock of Ages? If thou dost set thy heart on a particular set of dreams, thou mayest be idolizing the gifts rather than the Giver. Our Lord did not teach us to pray, “Give us this day our desired dreams,” but “Give us this day our daily bread.” And the bread He giveth is Himself. Flee, then, to the ransom He hath found. The pit of despair is not escaped by a ladder of pleasant visions, but by looking to Him who was lifted up.

As for the dread of losing thy beloved ones, cast that burden upon the Lord. He measureth the bitters grain by grain, and not a particle in excess shall mingle in the draft. Even should He take, He doth but take to give back with fuller life. Pray not against His will, but be conformed to it. The righteous acts of the Lord toward His people are marked by distinguishing grace, He knoweth what thou needest better than thy sleeping mind can conceive. Instead of crying, “End these dreams,” cry, “Lord, teach me to trust Thee in the night, and to rest in Thy faithful watch over my soul.” Then, waking or dreaming, thou shalt be kept in perfect peace.

Go now to the gates of mercy with this plea: “Speak, Lord, for Thy servant heareth.” And when thou hearest the voice behind thee saying, “This is the way,” thou shalt go down to the gates in sure deliverance, declaring the name of the Lord in the assembly of His people. There is thy true safety, in the company of the redeemed, not in the sorting of thy dreams. May the Lord open thine eyes to see that His deliverance from the power of sin is far more than deliverance from the power of ugly phantoms. And may He grant thee that sweet sleep which He giveth to His beloved, not by the fulfilment of wishful slumbers, but by the peace that flows from the finished work of Christ. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You treat dreams as though they were things of substance, but they are nothing. The present life itself is but a dream, and the goods and evils of it are mere phantoms that vanish at the dawn. Why then do you pray to have certain dreams restored and others banished? This is to slumber yet, to mistake shadow for substance. Awake, and look to the Sun of Righteousness. No man while sleeping can see the sun or delight in its beams; so you, while you fix your mind on these passing visions, cannot behold the true light. Cast off this deep slumber. Repent, and with many tears rouse yourself from the lethargy of sin. The things you call your most wanted dreams are but the fancies of a soul weighed down by earthly cares. They profit nothing, and to set your heart on them is to make provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts. Instead, be sober and watchful, for it is in your power always to have day, always to walk in the light of virtue. Vice itself is a dream, a drunkenness of the soul that sees not things as they truly are. Riches, human approval, the absence of conflict, all these are dreams. Seek instead the abiding things.

And why do you pray against other people, calling them evil and wrong, asking God to shut their mouths and make them flee? This is not the mind of Christ. Long-suffering is the root of all self-denial; wanton behavior arises from want of love. If you would be delivered from the tyranny of passions, put on love. Bless those who trouble you, and do not let the sun go down on your wrath. The night will only feed the fire. Be reconciled, forgive, and entrust judgment to God. For what gain is it to have peaceful dreams while your waking soul is storm-tossed with resentment? The saints of old, of whom the world was not worthy, endured affliction and insult with patience, not with prayers against their enemies. Their sleep was composed and regular, their minds not filled with wild fancies, because their souls were ordered by the fear of God. Order your soul after this pattern, and your dreams will cease to torment you, for a heart at peace does not bring forth monstrous visions. Seek not to command the night, but to purify the day. Turn your prayers away from the controlling of phantoms and toward true repentance and the love of God and neighbor. Then shall you awake from this present dream, and when the true Day comes, you will be found ready, not clutching at shadows.

The weight of persistent, troubling dreams can be exhausting, especially when they stir fear about the safety of your relationships. I hear your plea, and I want to offer some thoughts drawn from Scripture, not as a formula, but as a way toward peace.

You begin by asking for God’s will, and that is the right starting place. Yet notice how quickly the prayer turns toward a list of demands: give me back these specific dreams, remove those, banish certain people. Real prayer grows in a different soil. It does not begin with my desires and then seek God’s signature; it begins with who God is and what He purposes. Jesus taught us to pray, “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done.” When we first learn to rest in that, the things we want are reshaped by what He knows we need.

In the book of Genesis, Joseph stood before Pharaoh, a man drowning in disturbing dreams. Everyone around him looked for a human expert, but Joseph said, “It is not in me; God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace.” The interpretation did not belong to Joseph, it came from the Lord. Your dreams, whether you remember them as hopes from years ago or recent nightmares, are not the final voice. God may still speak in various ways, as Joel promised, but He has given us something far more steady than a dream: His Word. That Word is the anchor. Any dream, any impression, must be tested against it. If a dream stirs constant fear or fixates on controlling other people, that is not the fruit of God’s Spirit.

Consider what happens when our main effort in prayer is to command the removal of every uncomfortable person or to force a particular outcome. We can end up like the well-meaning Israelites who wanted prophets to say only pleasant things, who cried for deliverance from every outward enemy but never let God deal with the rebellion inside their own hearts. The greatest threat is not the face in a dream or a rude person crossing your path; it is the darkness that can lurk in an eye that refuses to gaze on what is pure. Jesus warned that if the eye is evil, the whole body is filled with darkness. Rather than spending your strength trying to shut the mouths of others, ask the Lord to examine your own heart first. Let Him fill you with His light. A house that is merely swept clean of one intruder is vulnerable to seven worse ones unless the Holy Spirit moves in and takes residence.

I have seen people chase after the spectacular, the voice in the night, the dramatic vision, while remaining stunted in their walk. What they often miss is that God’s deepest work happens in the ordinary, daily act of trusting Him. Joseph did not interpret dreams in a moment of triumph; he did it after years of injustice and waiting. He learned that God’s hand was in the whole story, even the dungeon. That same hand is over your relationships. Praying for those you love is right, but do not let fear dictate the terms. Instead of striving to reclaim a set of “most wanted dreams” from a decade ago, surrender the entire timeline to God. He holds both the past and the future, and He often reshapes our desires until they align with something far better than we originally imagined.

If there are people who mean you harm or whose presence brings oppression, you may certainly ask the Lord to be your defender. David cried for mercy and asked God to blot out his transgressions, but he also entrusted judgment to the One who sees all hidden snares. Vengeance is not ours to speak. Pray for wisdom, pray for protection, but also pray for a heart that can bless and remain unpoisoned by bitterness. The cycle of prayer that actually strengthens you begins with God’s purposes and returns to Him in thanksgiving, even when the road is hard.

So bring these anxieties to the Lord, but let your prayer become less a list of conditions and more a quiet waiting. Ask Him to fill you with His Spirit so that no dream, no person, no threat can unsettle your deepest peace. He is not far off. He sees exactly where you are. And He knows what it takes to make you steady and to preserve your true relationships in His time and His way. Amen.
