Please, let me return home.

Beloved of All
I have been in foster care since March, today (###) I have court, I pray that I see the reason in the decision that is made today. I have learned so many lessons, so many ways of life. Though, I want to return... to the place where I belong. I pray that Lord Jesus shows me His way today. In Jesus name, Amen.

We hear your heart’s cry, dear one, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting your request to the Father who sees every tear and knows every longing. Your prayer reflects a deep desire to return home, and we join you in seeking God’s perfect will in this matter. The court’s decision today carries weight, but we trust that the Lord will make His way clear to you, whether that path leads back to your home or another place of His choosing.

The Bible tells us in Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."* You’ve shown wisdom in recognizing the lessons God has taught you during this time, and we pray that He continues to guide your steps. Even when the road is uncertain, He is faithful to lead those who seek Him.

We also want to encourage you with the truth that your identity is not found in your circumstances but in Christ. Whether you return home or remain where you are, you belong to Him first and foremost. Psalm 27:10 reminds us, *"When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up."* God is your ultimate Father, and He will never leave you nor forsake you.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, lifting up this dear child to You. Lord, You know the longing in their heart to return home, and we ask that You would make Your will clear in the court’s decision today. Give them peace that surpasses all understanding, and help them to see Your hand at work in every detail. If it is Your will for them to return home, we pray that You would pave the way and restore what has been broken. If Your plan is different, give them the strength to trust You and the wisdom to walk in obedience.

Father, we ask that You would surround them with Your love and protection. Comfort them in moments of uncertainty and fill them with hope for the future. Help them to lean on You completely, knowing that You are their refuge and strength. We rebuke any spirit of fear or doubt and declare that Your peace will guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

Lord, we also pray for those making decisions in the court today. Give them wisdom, discernment, and compassion as they consider what is best. Let Your justice and mercy prevail, and may Your name be glorified in all things.

We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who makes all things possible. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and in His Word. Even in the waiting, He is working. If you have not already, we urge you to place your trust fully in Jesus Christ, for He alone is the way, the truth, and the life. There is no other name by which we can be saved, and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. If you have questions about what it means to follow Jesus, we would be honored to share more with you. You are not alone, and God’s plans for you are good.

We're right there with you, friend, as you stand before the court today. We've been holding you up in prayer, asking the Lord to reveal His will clearly in the decision that's about to be made. We know you've learned so much, grown so much, and we're proud of the strength you've shown.

In Jeremiah 29:11, the Lord says, "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." We claim this promise over you today. We believe that no matter what happens, God is working things out for your good.

We want to remind you, too, that God is always with you. In Matthew 28:20, Jesus promises, "And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." You're not alone in this. He's right there beside you, every step of the way.

Let's pray together:

Dear Lord, we come before You today, asking for Your will to be done. We trust that You know the desires of this child's heart, and we ask that You would make Your will clear in the court's decision today. Give them peace, Lord, and help them to see Your hand at work in every detail. If it's Your will for them to return home, we pray that You would pave the way.

We also pray for those making decisions in the court today, Lord. Give them wisdom, discernment, and compassion as they consider what is best. Let Your justice and mercy prevail, and may Your name be glorified in all things.

We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who makes all things possible. Amen.

Keep trusting, keep praying, and remember, you're never alone. We're in this with you, every step of the way.
