We join with you today as you set apart this day for fasting and prayer before the Lord and we thank you for inviting us to stand with you in agreement. Your desire that your motives, focus, prayers, deeds and behaviors would be sanctified and be as a fragrance and beauty before Jesus Christ is pleasing to the Father, for He looks at the heart.
We are reminded of what the Lord says about fasting that honors Him. When you fast, don’t be like the hypocrites, with sad faces. For they disfigure their faces, that they may be seen by men to be fasting. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward. But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, so that you are not seen by men to be fasting, but by your Father who is in secret, and your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you Matthew 6:16-18. The fast that God chooses is to share our hearts fully with Him and to walk in obedience, Isn’t this the fast that I have chosen, to release the bonds of wickedness, to undo the bands of the yoke, and to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke Isaiah 58:6. Your prayer that this day would be entirely according to God's will and based on the living Word of God and anointed by the Holy Spirit is exactly the posture He desires, for we know that we do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit himself makes intercession for us Romans 8:26 and Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says Yahweh of Armies Zechariah 4:6.
We also rejoice that you have lifted up your request in the wounds and the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by His wounds we are healed 1 Peter 2:24.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up our brother to You on this day of fasting and prayer. Sanctify his motives and his heart, try him and know his thoughts, and lead him in the way everlasting. Let the words of his mouth and the meditation of his heart be acceptable in Your sight, Yahweh, our rock and our redeemer Psalm 19:14. Anoint this fast and these prayers by Your Holy Spirit, that they would be according to Your will and rooted in Your living Word. Grant him strength for today, for You give power to the faint and to him who has no might You increase strength Isaiah 40:29 and we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us Philippians 4:13. Let his voice be heard before You, for the insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective James 5:16 and we have this confidence, that if we ask anything according to Your will, You listen to us 1 John 5:14. Receive his prayers and thanksgiving as incense before You Psalm 141:2 and let his life be a sweet fragrance of Christ to You 2 Corinthians 2:15. We ask for Your healing and freedom for him in spirit, soul and body, and we pray that the God of peace Himself would sanctify him wholly, and that his whole spirit and soul and body would be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ 1 Thessalonians 5:23. Touch him by Your power and might and answer with Your perfect will, that all glory and beauty would be before Jesus Christ alone. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.
We encourage you to remain in the Word throughout this day, drinking deeply from Scripture and waiting quietly for the Holy Spirit to inspire and guide you. Keep your fast humble and hidden before the Father who sees in secret, and trust that He who sees will reward openly. The Lord is near to all those who call on Him in truth Psalm 145:18, and He will strengthen you hour by hour as you seek Him.

There is cause for thankfulness when the heart is drawn to seek the Lord in fasting and prayer, and to desire that all within should be made holy before Him. We do join you in prayer to our God concerning this day which you have set apart.
Our prayer for you is that of our Lord Himself, Sanctify them through thy truth, thy word is truth. This sanctification is the making of the people of God holy, the working in us of a pure and holy character, and without holiness no man shall see the Lord. Remember that this is as much the work of God as the making of the heavens and the earth. We go not even a step in sanctification in our own strength, whatever we think we advance of ourselves is but a fictitious progress. Therefore look out of yourself and wholly to your God. Do not set about this work as if you could perform it alone, but ask the divine Father to sanctify your motives, your focus, your prayers, your deeds and your behaviors, that all may be as a sweet fragrance and beauty before Jesus Christ, according to the Living Word of God and by the power of the Holy Spirit who must apply the work to us.
We pray also that the Lord will strengthen you for this waiting upon Him. All strength apart from God is derived strength and must come to an end, but they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. It is not to a Christian's credit that he should be weak, and the Lord Himself has said, I will strengthen them. This strength shall be divinely bestowed upon you, coming directly from the Holy Spirit in answer to prayer. In prayer, laying hold upon the Invisible, you shall win strength for service. Go over again that blessed covenant which has made you one of the covenanted ones with God, and trust wholly in the merit of Jesus.
We pray that your fasting and prayer this day may be entirely according to the will of God, managed and anointed by His Spirit, and offered in true humility of spirit. True prayer is pleading with the Most High, spreading our case before Him and pressing our suit with holy arguments, not with self conceit which tears the wheels from prayer. May your prayer be kept from mere form and be full of good matter from the Word, for the God of Peace delights to make His people perfect in every good work to do His will.
Be encouraged that the Lord hears the prayer of those who seek Him. He is not long in answering though we may be long in praying, and a true prayer from one who is near to need is a prevailing prayer. Even when a man is at his wit's end and his prayer seems to reel to and fro without orderly words, God will hear the prayer of a staggering soul. Lay your gratitude and your petitions before His throne and expect His pity and compassion.
And for your healing and freedom in spirit, soul and body, we look to the wounds and the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus and His salvation. When the Sun of Righteousness rises upon His people with healing in His wings, pardon and healing are one, for He said, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins are forgiven thee. May the Lord who pardons also heal, and change the life blood and make the nature new, that your whole spirit and soul and body may be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. When all your own strength fails you, your strength shall be to sit still while God arises and becomes your arm every morning, your salvation in the time of trouble.
May the God of Peace sanctify you wholly, accept what you offer this day in the name of Jesus, and answer with great power and might according to His perfect will.
