PLEASE JESUS, HAVE MERCY! I MUST BELIEVE MY PRAYER HAS ALREADY BEEN ANSWERED!

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Hi. This is asked of Jesus in His Name and in Jesus' Name only. Only Jesus can do this and Jesus will when you pray to Him be able to show you everything. There were malicious elements coming to this prayer, insulting it, with aim of said elements being for them to look good by insulting it. Such a specific element even made fun of the ###'s comparing the situation to Moses opening the Red Sea. While some of what said element preached has validity, I could not help but perceive it to be an attack on this prayer with the perceived intent being to look good by belittling the prayer. Said element is possibly looking for self-praise in this manner. So that had me realize that from now on it truly will have to be an unspoken prayer and I know God knows what this prayer is about.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We hear your cry for mercy and we join with you in lifting this unspoken request to our Lord Jesus Christ, for He alone knows the depths of your heart and the full detail of what you are carrying.

We understand the pain of having your sincere prayer met with mocking and insults, and even being compared to Moses opening the Red Sea as if your faith were foolish. We want to encourage you that God is not mocked and He sees both your earnest faith and the words spoken against you. Jesus said in Matthew 5:11, Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake. We do not need to defend ourselves or seek to look good before men, for the Lord looks at the heart.

We also take comfort that our Father knows our unspoken prayers. You are right to trust that God knows exactly what this prayer is about even when you hold it in silence before Him. Psalm 139:4 says Even before there is a word on my tongue, behold, Yahweh, you know it all. And Romans 8:26 reminds us that the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Matthew 6:6 and Matthew 6:8 teach us that your Father who sees in secret will reward you and your Father knows what you need before you ask him. So we can bring this unspoken burden to Him with confidence.

We also gently encourage you in your statement that you must believe your prayer has already been answered. We share your desire for strong faith, and we do believe God hears and answers. Mark 11:24 says Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them. Yet scripture also teaches us to pray according to His will and His timing. 1 John 5:14 says This is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. Our faith is not in forcing an outcome but in trusting that our loving Father will answer in the way that is best and in His perfect time, even when the answer is not yet seen. We encourage you to keep believing while also surrendering to His will, knowing that He can indeed part seas for His children as He did for Moses, for nothing is impossible with God as Luke 1:37 declares.

We forgive those who have insulted this prayer and we pray for them as well, asking that they would not seek self praise but would speak with love and humility.

We now pray together with you.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we thank You that we have access to Your throne of grace only through Him. We lift up this dear one and this unspoken request that weighs so heavily on the heart. You know every detail, every fear, every hope, even when no words are spoken. We ask for Your mercy and Your perfect will to be done in this situation. Grant peace that surpasses understanding and strengthen faith to trust You while waiting. Heal the hurt caused by mocking and insults, and help us to forgive as You have forgiven us. Let no weapon formed against this prayer prosper and let those who mocked be convicted to speak with grace. We ask that You would be glorified in the answer, whatever it may be, and that You would show Your power and love in a way that only You can do. We trust You hear us and we thank You for Your faithfulness. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to pour out your heart to Jesus in secret, to rest in His love, and to trust that He who began a good work will be faithful to complete it. Psalm 34:17 says The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Keep crying out to Him, for He is near to the brokenhearted.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body
Thank you for being with me since the beginning.

We heard the ache in your note, how earnestly you are calling on Jesus and how painful it has been to feel mocked when you were trying to pray honestly. It makes sense you would want to pull that prayer close and keep it unspoken for a while.

We want you to know God does hear the prayers we do not put into words for others. You do not have to explain or defend it to everyone to make it real before Him. Keeping it between you and Him right now sounds like a wise and peaceful way to protect your heart.

It can also help to separate the sting of someone else's tone from whatever true part might be helpful, and leave the rest with the Lord. You do not need to carry their commentary as part of your prayer.

If you find the worry and tension staying high, it can help to share that unspoken burden with one trusted, gentle believer or pastor in private, not to debate the prayer but simply to have someone stand with you before Jesus, and to keep bringing it to Him day by day in quiet trust.

Jesus, we bring our friend before You now. You know this unspoken request fully. Have mercy and give peace, wisdom and assurance of Your presence. Guard their heart from discouragement and draw them close to You. We trust this to You in Jesus' name, amen.

Your unspoken burden is not hidden from Him who hears prayer in the cave and on the sea and under the sea, and who keeps a registry in the court of Heaven where every sigh and tear is recorded. They are not blown away by the wind, they are treasured in the King's archives, and though an answer may tarry it is not fruitless before Him.

You have felt the sting of mockers, and this should not astonish you. True faith will in all probability be mocked at some time or other. They said of our Lord Himself, Let Him deliver Him seeing He delighted in Him, and they will say the same of those who trust Him now. The ungodly ridicule the idea that God delights in His people and that He will hear them, but the day shall come when it will be known by all that to trust in the Lord Jehovah in whom is everlasting strength is essential wisdom. It is a pity to talk about some of the secrets of our holy faith in any and every company, and there is a wisdom in pouring out the heart alone before God where no strange eye can intrude.

Yet take heed that your earnestness does not become presumption. To say I must believe my prayer has already been answered is not of itself faith. Your prayers before you believe have but little weight in them. Prayers without faith in Christ are birds without wings, ships without sails. They are prayers without the blood on them. Faith is never dumb, true faith is a crying faith, but it cries according to your faith be it unto you, and it pleads the promise with holy argument. Jacob's model prayer was highly argumentative, he pleaded what God had said and done, and we are to go and plead it and the Lord will do unto us according to our faith.

If you do not prevail with God in prayer, hear what He as it were says to us, Search and look. Beware, you may sin against God in the prayer chamber as well as in the market, and you may offend on your knees. Sometimes failure in prayer may be caused by sin. There are reasons also which lie in our future why our prayers are not answered. Delays in prayer may turn out to be a sort of training school for us. Take the apostle's instance, the thorn in the flesh was very painful, and though he was a chosen apostle yet he had no answer as he desired, that he might learn that God's grace is sufficient. Daniel's prayer was answered at once while he was yet speaking, but it is not always so. Brethren must not take delays in prayer for denial. God's long dated bills will be punctually honored. We must not suffer Satan to shake our confidence in the God of truth by pointing to our unanswered prayers.

Therefore do not leave the mercy seat till you have liberty there. When you feel you have not liberty in prayer, pray in order to get liberty. Continue much in prayer even when you do not get a blessing in it, but put up with no makeshifts. Bring your unspoken request into the light before Him, not demanding that He conform to your will, but asking that you may be conformed to His. Pray through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we come, and let your prayer be for sanctifying grace, for constraining and restraining grace, for a fresh assurance of faith and for deliverance in the hour of temptation.

We will not ask God to bless what His word does not bless, for He has shown us that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone and that marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman and that all intimacy belongs within it. But we will pray that He will have mercy upon you, that He will quicken you in His way and in His judgments, that He will give you repentance where repentance is needed and faith where faith is needed and help in the time of duty and succor in the day of trial. If there be any secret sin which keeps back the blessing, may He reveal it and cleanse it by the blood of Christ. If the thing you ask be according to His will, may He grant it in His perfect time and way, for His answer often comes not as we expected, and we may seem to feel worse before we feel better, as Jacob did. If it be not according to His will, may He give you grace to submit and to find His will to be your joy.

He heard your voice in prayer, may He hear your voice in praise. Trust you in the Lord forever.

Your cry for mercy in the name of Jesus alone has been heard, and we join you in bringing it before Him, for there is no other name by which we are saved and no other mediator by whom we come to the Father.

We understand the pain of feeling mocked when you poured out your heart, and how the comparison to Moses at the Red Sea felt like an insult meant to make another look good. Do not let the scorn of others drive you away from prayer. When we have first made God favorable to us by prayer, we can go forth with security even when there is war around us, and we can laugh to scorn the enemy that would trouble us. Prayer is a great weapon, an impregnable wall, and the Lord teaches us to cleave to it with confidence.

You are right that God knows the unspoken request. Jesus Himself showed that the Father hears always, even before a word is spoken, and that He hears the prayer offered in secret for the sake of faith. We do not need to display every detail before people to be heard in heaven. At the same time, it is good not to stand alone. The Scriptures show that we are helped together by the prayer of others, and that even the strongest need the prayers of the church. We are glad to stand with you now, asking with you and for you.

You said you must believe your prayer has already been answered. We encourage you to hold fast to faith with confidence, for the Lord said that those who are willing to believe and be confident in prayer shall do great things, even to the moving of mountains. Yet faith also goes beyond our own reasonings and beyond demanding a certain outcome. The people at the Red Sea both believed and feared, and it was Moses who prayed, and God in His power made a way where there seemed to be no way. So we pray that you will trust not only that God is able to do what you ask, but that He is wise and good to do what is best.

We bring your unspoken request before Jesus now, asking that if it is according to His will and His word, He would grant it for your good and His glory, for He is able to do far more than we ask or think. And if anything in the request is not according to His will, we ask that He would gently shape your heart to desire what He desires, to walk in obedience and holiness, and to find peace in His answer. For we need both prayer and a life that follows Him, our own part as well as His grace, if we are to be kept safe.

Therefore keep praying, early in the morning and at night, not as a single cry but as a steady communion. Bring your need to Jesus with humility, not exalting yourself but trusting His mercy, and continue to ask, seek, and knock. He who built His church and holds the keys of heaven is not weary of your voice.

We pray together now: Father, we thank You that You hear us always through Your Son Jesus Christ. You know the unspoken burden of this heart better than any person can. Have mercy, grant what is according to Your good will, guard this soul from discouragement and from those who would mock, and keep Your Spirit with him. Teach him to pray with confidence and to rest in Your answer, whatever it may be, and to walk in faith and obedience all his days. In the name of Jesus alone we ask this, amen.
