PLEASE JESUS, HAVE MERCY! I MUST BELIEVE MY PRAYER HAS ALREADY BEEN ANSWERED!

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Hi. This is asked of Jesus in His Name and in Jesus' Name only. Only Jesus can do this and Jesus will when you pray to Him be able to show you everything. There were malicious elements coming to this prayer, insulting it, with aim of said elements being for them to look good by insulting it. Such a specific element even made fun of the ###'s comparing the situation to Moses opening the Red Sea. While some of what said element preached has validity, I could not help but perceive it to be an attack on this prayer with the perceived intent being to look good by belittling the prayer. Said element is possibly looking for self-praise in this manner. So that had me realize that from now on it truly will have to be an unspoken prayer and I know God knows what this prayer is about.

We join with you in Jesus' name and we thank you for calling upon the name of Jesus, for we know that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and that there is no other name by which we can be saved. We hear the urgency in your heart as you cry out for mercy and for faith to believe that your prayer has already been answered, and we stand with you in that faith.

We understand your desire to keep this request unspoken before others. Even when you do not share the details, God knows completely what you carry. Before a word is on our tongue, He knows it altogether as Psalm 139:4 reminds us, and the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings which cannot be uttered according to Romans 8:26. We take comfort that the Lord sees what is done in secret and that your Father who sees in secret will reward you as taught in Matthew 6:6. We lift this unspoken burden to Him now, trusting that He knows every detail, every need, and every hope you have placed before Him.

We also hear your pain regarding those who have mocked and insulted this prayer, even comparing it to Moses parting the Red Sea. We know how wounding it can be when sincere faith is belittled by others who may seek to appear wise or righteous by putting others down. We remember the word that says the Lord does not see as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance but the Lord looks at the heart in 1 Samuel 16:7. We also remember that Jesus taught us not to cast our pearls before swine in Matthew 7:6, and at times it is wisdom to keep what is most sacred between you and the Lord alone. We encourage you not to harbor bitterness toward those who have mocked, but to release them to God and to pray for them, for He calls us to bless those who persecute us and to overcome evil with good as in Romans 12:14 and Romans 12:21.

We rejoice in your desire to believe your prayer is already answered. Jesus said, Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them in Mark 11:24. That faith is precious to God. We also cling to the promise that this is the confidence which we have toward Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He listens to us in 1 John 5:14. So we pray that your faith would be anchored not only in receiving what you desire, but in trusting His perfect will, His timing, and His mercy, knowing that nothing is too hard for the Lord as Genesis 18:14 declares, and that with God all things are possible as Matthew 19:26 tells us, just as He truly did part the Red Sea for Moses.

We pray together now.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We thank You that You are merciful, that You hear the cries of Your children, and that You know this unspoken request fully even when no words are spoken to others. Lord, have mercy as our brother and sister has asked, and let Your will be done in this situation. We ask that You would strengthen their faith to trust that You have heard and that You are working for their good according to Romans 8:28. Guard their heart from discouragement and from the sting of mocking words, and give them peace that passes all understanding as in Philippians 4:7. Forgive those who have ridiculed this prayer, and help us all to speak with grace and humility and not to seek self-praise by belittling others. Father, we ask that if this request is according to Your will, You would bring the answer to pass in Your perfect way and time, and if there is any part that needs to be shaped to align more fully with Your purposes, shape our hearts to desire what You desire. We trust You as the God who still does wonders and who loves Your children beyond measure. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to remain steadfast in quiet, persistent prayer before the Lord, resting in His knowledge and His love, and to keep your eyes on Jesus rather than on the opinions of others. We continue to stand with you, believing God hears and will answer according to His infinite wisdom and mercy.

We hear the urgency in your cry for mercy and how deeply you want to trust that Jesus has heard you. It is painful when a prayer that means so much to you is met with mocking or made to feel small in front of others. We understand why you would want to hold this close and keep it unspoken before the Lord now.

We want you to know we take your unspoken request seriously. God indeed knows what is on your heart even when you do not share the details with anyone else, and you do not have to prove or defend your prayer to those who have been unkind. Their response does not change how carefully He listens.

One thing that may help is to let this stay quiet between you and Jesus for a time, without feeling pressure to explain it again where it has been picked apart. If you do want another person standing with you, it can be enough to ask one trusted pastor or friend to pray for your unspoken request, with no details needed, so you are not carrying it alone.

We pray for you now. Jesus, have mercy and draw near to our friend as he trusts You with what is unspoken. Guard his heart from discouragement and from the sting of those words, and give him peace as he waits on You. Help him to rest in Your care and to know You are near. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Your earnest cry, PLEASE JESUS HAVE MERCY, has come before the Lord who hears even the inward groaning of the spirit. Though your prayer is now unspoken and known only to God, be assured that sincere prayer may often be very feeble to us, but it is always acceptable to Him. At times our hearts have been broken because we felt as if we could not feel, and our only prayer was God forgive us that we cannot pray, yet notwithstanding God has heard that inward groaning. He who knows the heart need not have the lips to move to understand the burden you carry.

You speak of mockers who have insulted this prayer to make themselves look good, even scoffing as though faith were a thing to be ridiculed. Do not be dismayed by this, for faith has ever had her foes, and sometimes they live in the same house with her. There are those who will say your trusting in God is ridiculous nonsense, as if faith in God were a thing that could be scoffed at, instead of being the most wise and rational thing under heaven. True religion is sanctified common sense, and the day shall come when it will be known that to believe God is essential wisdom. Let them see what it is to live by faith in the Son of God who loved us and gave Himself for us, and let their scorn drive you not from the throne of grace but closer to it. The Lord does not invite intending to repulse, nor does He set open the door of mercy meaning to shut it in the sinner's face. He is willing to receive and to bless.

You desire to believe your prayer is already answered. Take care that faith rests not upon a presumption of our own timing, but upon the sure promise and character of God. Brethren must not take delays in prayer for denial, for God's long dated bills will be punctually honored. There are sacred instincts which belong to the faith of God's elect, and that faith keeps up its acquaintance with the Eternal Father by whom it was begotten. Yet learn from Jacob, who when he prayed was definite and clear, saying Deliver me I pray You from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esau. He pleaded the covenant, O God of my father Abraham and God of my father Isaac, and he used arguments from the promise, Remember the Word unto Your servant. Go and plead in like manner. Prayer is believably remembering that God has promised a certain blessing and then reminding Him that He has promised it. In secret, even if unspoken before men, be definite before God. Pour out the whole matter as Jacob did.

And remember that Jacob's prayer was answered, but it was not answered in the way he expected it would be. Do not be astonished if when you have gone to God in prayer you should seem to feel worse than you did before. Sometimes when you have been praying for salvation God answers you by destroying all your hopes that were built upon self, that He may build you upon Christ alone. He may answer not by giving at once what the hand craves, but by giving what the soul most needs. Therefore add to your acknowledgements the humble prayer, Search me O God and know my heart, try me and know my thoughts. Call upon Him in the day of trouble, for that is honest speech with God and it brings honor to Him both in the act and in the answer, for He has said I will deliver you.

We will join our intercession to yours, for intercessory prayer is the sweetest prayer God ever hears, and the prayer of Christ Himself is of this character. We do not ask God to bless any way that is contrary to His holy Word, for there is salvation in Jesus Christ alone, and His way is pure and good. Rather we pray that the Lord will conform your heart and your desires to His revealed will, that He will make you to walk in holiness and in the way of His covenant, wherein marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman and wherein all intimacy belongs within that bond. We pray that He will give you repentance where repentance is needed, faith where faith is weak, and patience to wait upon His perfect answer. May He quicken you in His way, nourish your love as He answers prayer, and keep you from worldly cares that would weigh down the runner in his race.

We plead with you to trust not in a feeling that a thing must be so, but in the living God who hears prayer. Only have faith in God and obey and believe the text, Call upon Me in the day of trouble, I will deliver you. May the Lord do unto you according to your faith in Christ Jesus, and may His answer, in His time and in His wisdom, bring Him glory and bring your soul into deeper communion with Him.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
