PLEASE JESUS, HAVE MERCY! I MUST BELIEVE MY PRAYER HAS ALREADY BEEN ANSWERED!

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Hi. This is asked of Jesus in His Name and in Jesus' Name only. Only Jesus can do this and Jesus will when you pray to Him be able to show you everything. There were malicious elements coming to this prayer, insulting it, with aim of said elements being for them to look good by insulting it. Such a specific element even made fun of the ###'s comparing the situation to Moses opening the Red Sea. While some of what said element preached has validity, I could not help but perceive it to be an attack on this prayer with the perceived intent being to look good by belittling the prayer. Said element is possibly looking for self-praise in this manner. So that had me realize that from now on it truly will have to be an unspoken prayer and I know God knows what this prayer is about.

We hear your cry for mercy and we join with you in lifting this unspoken request before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ alone, for we know that He hears and He alone can answer.

We understand the pain of feeling mocked or belittled when you have poured out your heart in prayer, and we want to encourage you that God is not mocked and He sees both your sincere faith and those who would scoff. Jesus Himself said Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven. Matthew 5:11-12. We do not need to hold bitterness toward those who insulted your prayer, even if they sought to make themselves look good. We are called to bless those who persecute us and to pray for them, trusting God to be the judge and defender of our prayers.

We also hear your urgency as you say you must believe your prayer has already been answered. We gently encourage you that true biblical faith is not forcing ourselves to believe a specific outcome on our timing, but trusting that God has heard us and will answer according to His perfect will and mercy. We are taught This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. 1 John 5:14 and Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them. Mark 11:24. Faith believes God is able and willing to act, and it rests in His answer, whether it is yes, no, or wait, knowing His ways are higher than ours. Even when others may have compared your situation to Moses parting the Red Sea in a mocking way, we affirm together that nothing is impossible with God. For everything spoken by God is possible. Luke 1:37. What He did for Moses He can do again, but He does all things for His glory and for our ultimate good.

We love that you have brought this as an unspoken request and we want to assure you that God indeed knows it fully. You do not need to explain every detail to us for Him to understand. For there is not a word on your tongue, but behold, Yahweh, you know it altogether. Psalm 139:4 and In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don’t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered. Romans 8:26. Jesus also reminds us But you, when you pray, enter into your inner room, and having shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. Matthew 6:6. Your secret prayer is safe with Him.

We pray together now for you.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, asking for Your mercy upon our dear one who is crying out to You. Lord, You know the unspoken request that weighs so heavily on this heart, every detail, every fear, every hope. We ask that You would answer according to Your perfect will, Your perfect love, and Your perfect timing. Grant peace that surpasses understanding while waiting, and strengthen faith to trust You even when others misunderstand or mock. Forgive those who have insulted this prayer, and soften their hearts, and help our friend to forgive them as well and not to carry offense. Let no weapon of discouragement or scoffing turn this heart away from seeking You. Show Your power and Your tenderness, and let it be clearly seen that You are the One who hears and answers. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ, who alone is our mediator and our hope, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to bring this unspoken burden to Jesus daily, with confidence and with surrender, saying not my will but Yours be done, and to rest knowing He has heard you the first time you prayed. We stand with you in faith that our merciful God will do what is best.

We hear how heavy this has been, feeling mocked and belittled for bringing something so personal before Jesus, and then feeling like you need to pull back and keep it unspoken to protect it. It makes sense you would want to guard this prayer close to your heart after that.

We want you to know God does hear the prayers you don't put into words for others. You don't have to defend the request or prove anything to anyone else for Him to know exactly what you are carrying. He sees the heart behind it.

If it helps in the days ahead, you don't have to carry this alone even while keeping the details between you and the Lord. Having one trusted pastor or mature believer who can simply pray with you for God's peace and clear direction, without you needing to explain everything, can keep you from feeling isolated while you still keep the matter private before God.

We are standing with you and bringing your unspoken burden to Him now.

Father, in Jesus' name we lift this dear one to You. You know every detail of this unspoken prayer and the hurt that came with sharing it. Bring Your peace where there has been insult and discouragement, guard their heart from discouragement, and help them rest in Your care and timing. Give wisdom, closeness to You, and the assurance of Your presence each day. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your cry, PLEASE JESUS HAVE MERCY, has entered into the ears of the Lord who hears not only the lips but the heart, and He who knows the unspoken prayer knows it altogether. Think not that because you have not uttered it in words it is therefore hidden from Him, for the feeble prayer which we ourselves despised and which we thought would have died at the gate of mercy has been nursed and nurtured and fostered and accepted, and it has come back a full grown blessing bearing mercy in both its hands.

You speak of malicious elements who have mocked and made sport, comparing your hope to Moses opening the Red Sea, and seeking praise by belittling your supplication. This is no new trial. Faith has always had her foes, and they scoff at faith itself and count it folly, and they say of the believer, he pretends to trust in God to win esteem. Sometimes the mockery comes from one of your own household, sometimes from those who preach somewhat of truth but with a spirit of scorn. Be not moved by it. Brethren, if we are in the fire tonight and we are trusting in God, our faith does not mean that we expect to come forth at this very hour. We may not come out tonight nor tomorrow nor next month, it may be not for years, but this is the victory which overcomes the world, even your faith. They that scoff at God's poor people here shall see them exalted, and what can they then say but be compelled to bear witness that their faith was justified.

You say, I must believe my prayer has already been answered. Let me counsel you with tenderness. We shall send Gehazi yet seven times if he perceives no sign of mercy at the first, and we shall continue in importunate prayer, still believing that Jehovah cannot lie and will be as good as His word. Yet we must not dictate to God the fashion or the hour of His answer. Get the promise and then offer the prayer, and the prayer will be answered as sure as God is God. But get your own fancy into your head and you will only have to get it out again, for it will be of no service to you. Prayer is to be answered after God's fashion. Jacob prayed and his prayer was answered, but it was not answered in the way he expected it would be. God met him as though He were his enemy and he went limping when the sun rose over Peniel, yet for all that he did get his prayer answered.

Therefore do not leave the Mercy Seat till you do find liberty, and when you feel you have not liberty in prayer, pray in order to get liberty. Knock and it shall be opened unto you. Add force to your petitions. Is it mockery, is it scorn or sarcasm, does God invite intending to repulse, does He set open the door of mercy meaning to shut it in the sinner's face. Impossible. God is willing to receive and bless, for God invites most freely.

And because your prayer is now unspoken, let it be spoken plainly before God alone. He requires truth in the inward parts. Bring your whole heart, with all its desires, and lay it under the light of His Word, submitting it to His will. Sometimes failure in prayer may be caused by sin, and we must grow more earnest both in trust and in cry, giving up all dependence anywhere but upon God. Ask yourself whether your petition is according to His promise and according to His holy way. The Gospel shows the tender mercy of our God, that He thought of sinful man at all, and that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, by repentance and faith in His blood, and that He has ordained marriage to be the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that the union of body and of household belongs within that covenant alone. Whatever your unspoken burden may be, ask the Lord not only to grant your desire but to conform your desire to Christ, that you may will what He wills, and that your prayer may honor Him.

He will answer at the right time. Five minutes afterwards you might have been dead, but the answer has often come punctually at the very tick of the clock of wisdom, not before nor after. Brethren must not take delays in prayer for denial. God's long dated bills will be punctually honored. We must not suffer Satan to shake our confidence in the God of Truth by pointing to our unanswered prayers.

So continue to pray, though in silence before men. Tell Jesus only, in His name only, for only Jesus can do this. Confess sin, trust His tender mercy, plead His promise, and wait upon Him with humble and importunate faith. The Lord will always honor your faith because your faith honors Him, and prayer, which is the prelude of mercy, is often itself the means by which the mercy comes, for it is a comforting exercise to pour out the soul before Him.
