We join with you in crying out, Jesus have mercy, and we stand with you in bringing this unspoken request before the throne of grace in Jesus' name only, for we know there is no other name by which we can be saved and no other way to the Father.
We hear the urgency in your heart to believe your prayer has already been answered, and we understand the pain of feeling mocked when you have poured out your heart. We want to encourage you that your desire to pray in Jesus' name alone is right and biblical, for Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12.
We also take comfort with you that God truly does know this unspoken prayer even when you cannot or choose not to share the details. Your Father knows what things you need before you ask him, Matthew 6:8, and the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered, Romans 8:26. When we pray in secret, your Father who sees in secret will reward you, Matthew 6:6. We do not need to explain everything to others for God to hear and act, and it is wise at times to keep a matter between you and the Lord alone.
Regarding those you felt insulted and belittled your prayer, even comparing it to Moses opening the Red Sea, we gently encourage you not to carry the weight of judging their motives. While mocking is wrong and discouraging, we are called to not seek to please men but God, Galatians 1:10, and to love and pray for those who may have despitefully used us, Matthew 5:44. We can leave their hearts to the Lord who sees all, and choose to forgive, lest bitterness take root. Even if some of what was said had validity, we can receive what is true and entrust what was harsh to Jesus, who was himself mocked and yet prayed for those who mocked him.
We also want to lovingly speak to your statement that you must believe your prayer has already been answered. We share your faith that Jesus is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask, and we do believe Jesus when He said, Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them, Mark 11:24. Yet scripture also teaches us to pray according to His will, for this is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us, 1 John 5:14. True faith trusts not only that God can answer as we desire, but that He will answer according to His perfect wisdom, timing, and mercy. So we pray with you in faith, fully trusting His power to do this, while also submitting to His perfect will, knowing His answer will be what is best.
We pray together for you now.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You on behalf of this dear one. Lord, You know the unspoken request fully, every detail, every burden, every hope that has been carried in this prayer. We ask for Your mercy to be poured out. We ask that You would strengthen faith where there has been discouragement from the words of others, and that You would guard this heart from hurt and from anger. Give peace that passes all understanding and heal any wound caused by insult or mockery. We pray that those who may have belittled this prayer would be blessed and drawn closer to You, and that no weapon formed against this child of Yours would prosper. Lord, if it is Your will, we ask You to answer this unspoken petition in a way that clearly shows Your hand and Your glory, that all will know only Jesus could do this. But above all, let Your will be done, and help our dear one to rest in trusting that You have heard, that You love, and that You will answer in Your perfect time and way. Keep this one close, increase faith, and let Your mercy and grace be evident each day. We ask all this in the mighty and only name of Jesus, Amen.
