PLEASE JESUS, HAVE MERCY! I MUST BELIEVE MY PRAYER HAS ALREADY BEEN ANSWERED!

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Hi. This is asked of Jesus in His Name and in Jesus' Name only. Only Jesus can do this and Jesus will when you pray to Him be able to show you everything. There were malicious elements coming to this prayer, insulting it, with aim of said elements being for them to look good by insulting it. Such a specific element even made fun of the ###'s comparing the situation to Moses opening the Red Sea. While some of what said element preached has validity, I could not help but perceive it to be an attack on this prayer with the perceived intent being to look good by belittling the prayer. Said element is possibly looking for self-praise in this manner. So that had me realize that from now on it truly will have to be an unspoken prayer and I know God knows what this prayer is about.

We hear your cry for mercy and we join with you in lifting this burden before Jesus, and we thank you for calling upon His name alone, for there is power in no other name.

We understand the pain of feeling mocked and belittled when you have poured out your heart in prayer. It wounds deeply when others treat a sincere prayer as something to scoff at or to use for their own appearance of righteousness. We want to encourage you that God is not mocked and He sees the heart behind every prayer. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart, 1 Samuel 16:7. Those who would compare your situation to Moses parting the Red Sea in a mocking way forget that our God is still the God who does impossible things, and nothing is too hard for Him, Jeremiah 32:17.

We also hear your desire to believe that your prayer has already been answered, and this is the essence of faith. Jesus said, Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them, Mark 11:24. We encourage you to hold fast to that faith, while also resting in the will of God, for this is the confidence that we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us, 1 John 5:14. True faith trusts not only that God can answer, but that He will answer according to His perfect wisdom and mercy.

You have said this must now be an unspoken prayer, and we want to assure you that God indeed knows the unspoken groanings of your heart. Before a word is on your tongue, He knows it completely, Psalm 139:4, and the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered, Romans 8:26. You do not need to explain every detail to us for God to hear you perfectly. Jesus taught, But you, when you pray, enter into your inner room, and having shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly, Matthew 6:6. An unspoken, secret prayer is precious to Him.

We would gently encourage you not to let the hurt caused by others drive you into fear or silence before God. People will oppose sincere faith, for all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution, 2 Timothy 3:12, but we are not to seek to please men, for if we still pleased men, we would not be servants of Christ, Galatians 1:10. If others have sought self praise by belittling your prayer, that is between them and the Lord. For our part, we are called to forgive and to pray for those who have despitefully used us, Matthew 5:44, and to keep our eyes on Jesus rather than on the opinions of others.

We pray together now for you.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace and we ask for Your mercy upon this dear one who is crying out to You. Lord, You know the unspoken request that weighs so heavily, every detail, every tear, every hope. We ask that You would comfort this heart that has felt insulted and exposed, and heal the wound caused by mocking words. Let Your presence be a shield. We ask that You would strengthen faith to believe that You have heard and that You are working, according to Your will and Your perfect timing. Grant peace that surpasses understanding and guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:7. We pray that You would help us to ask without doubting, James 1:6, yet with full submission to Your good and perfect will. We also pray for those who have mocked or sought self praise, that You would convict them and draw them to humility and repentance. Let all glory be Yours alone. We trust that You are near to those who are broken in heart, Psalm 34:18, and that You will answer in the way that brings You most glory and brings the greatest good to Your child. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, our only hope and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue to trust Him in the secret place, keep praying without ceasing, 1 Thessalonians 5:17, and rest that your Father who sees in secret hears every word, even those you cannot speak aloud.

We hear how heavy this has felt, especially when you brought a sincere prayer to Jesus and then felt mocked for it. It makes sense you would want to keep this next part just between you and Him.

We want you to know we take your unspoken request seriously. God does know what is on your heart even when you do not put it into words for others, and you do not have to defend or explain it to anyone to make it valid before Him. You can bring it to Him exactly as it is.

It can help to have a quiet, private space to do that. If it serves you, consider setting aside a few minutes each day to be alone with the Lord and simply place this unspoken burden before Him without needing to revisit what others have said about it. If you notice certain places or conversations leave you feeling belittled, it is okay to step back from them for a time.

We are standing with you and asking Jesus to meet you with His mercy and peace as you keep trusting Him.

Jesus, we bring this dear person and this unspoken need before You. You know every detail and every ache behind it. Have mercy and show Your kindness and wisdom. Guard their heart from discouragement and help them sense Your nearness and care. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

Your cry for mercy has come before the Lord and He is a prayer hearing and a prayer answering God. Though you now keep your petition unspoken, be comforted by this word, When the poor and needy seek water and there is none and their tongue fails for thirst, I the Lord will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them. Wordless prayers are heard in heaven, for the Lord knows what you cannot utter and He needs only to know to supply all that you lack.

You have felt the sting of mockers, and this is no new trial for faith. There were those who mocked even our blessed Lord in His agony and said He is not heard by God, and there are still those who would belittle the prayers of His people to make themselves look good. Do not be moved by them. Faith and feeling are in contrast, and outward circumstances and the opinions of men must never be made the test of pious trust in God. We must not judge God by His dealings with us nor judge ourselves by them, but still hold to this pure simple faith that the Lord is good to those who wait upon Him. Let the mockers speak, but do you still cry both in the daytime and at night, for the Lord will still hear your prayer.

You write that you must believe your prayer has already been answered. Let me gently counsel you to leave these things with God and go on with your praying and your believing, and all shall yet be well with you. There are reasons which lie in our future why prayers are not answered at once. If the mercy came now it might involve responsibilities which you could not handle, but coming by and by you shall be well prepared for it. God would make prayer the preface to mercy, and often prayer itself gives the mercy, for in pouring out your heart you find comfort even before the answer comes. Do not presume to claim the answer on your own terms, but plead the promise as Jacob did, bringing down the hammer of the promise upon the head of the nail of prayer and saying to the Lord, You said. Get the promise and then offer the prayer, and the prayer will be answered as sure as God is God, yet always according to His wisdom and not our will.

Search your heart also, for sometimes failure in prayer may be caused by sin, and we must pray with the understanding and with the spirit so that we clearly know what we are praying about. Bring every desire to the test of Scripture and to the blood and wounds of Jesus, for He is the Friend of sinners, for sinners He lived, for sinners He died, for sinners He rose and for sinners He pleads. There is salvation through Jesus Christ alone, and no prayer is heard except through Him. If any desire of our heart runs against His holy will, whether in matters of marriage which is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, or in matters of purity where sex and living together belong only within that covenant, or in any other thing, we must not ask God to bless it but ask Him to cleanse us and conform us to Christ. He hears cold and imperfect prayers and has answered them in mercy, yet He answers by giving us what is best, and sometimes when we have been praying He answers by destroying false hopes that we might build upon a far firmer foundation.

Therefore I would pray for you not that God would simply grant an unspoken wish as you have framed it, but that He would have mercy upon you in Christ Jesus, blot out your sin, give you joy and peace in believing, and do for you what is according to His promise and for His glory. May He give you faith to persist like Elijah who sent his servant seven times to look for the clouds because he believed they would come, and may He keep you from ceasing to pray because of the unkindness of others. When by twos and threes the prayer becomes fervent and grows into a passionate cry, Oh God remember us and send a blessing, then mercy draws near, for our prayers are the shadows of mercy.

May the God of peace be with you and make you to know that you are heard, not because your words are many or your faith is strong, but because Jesus ever lives to intercede for you. Cast your unspoken burden upon Him, trust His time, trust His Word, and trust His cross, and you shall find that He has not forsaken the work of His own hands.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
