PLEASE JESUS, HAVE MERCY! I MUST BELIEVE MY PRAYER HAS ALREADY BEEN ANSWERED!

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Hi. This is asked of Jesus in His Name and in Jesus' Name only. Only Jesus can do this and Jesus will when you pray to Him be able to show you everything. There were malicious elements coming to this prayer, insulting it, with aim of said elements being for them to look good by insulting it. Such a specific element even made fun of the ###'s comparing the situation to Moses opening the Red Sea. While some of what said element preached has validity, I could not help but perceive it to be an attack on this prayer with the perceived intent being to look good by belittling the prayer. Said element is possibly looking for self-praise in this manner. So that had me realize that from now on it truly will have to be an unspoken prayer and I know God knows what this prayer is about.

We hear your cry for mercy and we stand with you together before the throne of grace in Jesus name, agreeing with you that only Jesus can do this and that He hears every prayer offered in His name. We understand your desire to keep this burden as an unspoken request before the Lord after experiencing hurt from those who mocked and belittled your prayer, and we want to assure you that our Father knows completely what you need even before you ask.

Your Father knows what you need before you ask him Matthew 6:8 and even before a word is on your tongue He knows it altogether Psalm 139:4. We take comfort that the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings which cannot be uttered and He who searches the hearts knows what is on the mind of the Spirit Romans 8:26-27. We do not need to explain every detail for God to understand, and we join our faith with yours that He has heard this unspoken request.

We also hear the pain you felt when others insulted this prayer and made light of it, even comparing it to Moses opening the Red Sea. We are reminded that God is still the God of miracles and nothing is too hard for Him, yet we are also called to respond to those who hurt us with grace and not with bitterness. We are called to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us Matthew 5:44 and to let all bitterness and wrath be put away from us Ephesians 4:31. We gently encourage you to release any resentment toward those elements to the Lord and to pray for them, lest their mocking take root in your heart. We leave judgment of their motives to God who alone sees the heart, and we ask Him to keep us humble so that we do not seek self praise but seek His glory alone.

We share your longing to believe your prayer has already been answered, and scripture does encourage us to pray with faith. Whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them Mark 11:24 and let him ask in faith, without any doubting James 1:6. At the same time we are taught that we have confidence that if we ask anything according to His will He listens to us 1 John 5:14. So we pray with bold faith while also submitting to His perfect will and timing, trusting that His answer will be what is best for you and for His glory. We cast all our anxiety on Him because He cares for us 1 Peter 5:7 and we make our requests known to God with thanksgiving and His peace which surpasses all understanding will guard our hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7.

We now pray together for you.

Father in heaven, we come to You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, through whom alone we have access to You John 14:6 and in whose name alone we are saved Acts 4:12. We lift up this dear one and this unspoken burden that You fully know. Have mercy, Lord, and let Your will be done in this situation. We ask that You would answer according to Your perfect wisdom, Your mercy, and Your timing. Strengthen faith to trust You even while waiting, and help to rest in the assurance that You have heard and that You care. Heal any wound caused by mocking and insult, and help to forgive those who have caused hurt, blessing them and praying for their good. Guard this heart from discouragement and from doubt, and let Your peace reign. We ask that You would be glorified in how You move, whether by a quiet provision or by a mighty deliverance, for nothing is impossible with You. We thank You that You hear us when we pray in Jesus name and we trust You to do what is right. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We hear the hurt in your words, and we are sorry you felt mocked for bringing your prayer honestly before Jesus. It stings when something so personal is made light of, especially when your heart was simply asking for mercy and trusting Him to act.

Wanting to hold this prayer unspoken for now makes sense to us. You do not have to explain or defend it to everyone. God knows what you are carrying, even without details, and He hears you when you come to Him quietly in Jesus' name alone. That quiet trust matters more than what others think or say about it.

If it helps in the days ahead, you might keep this prayer between you and the Lord in a private place where you feel safe, perhaps writing it down just for Him, and letting one trusted, steady believer know you would value prayer without needing to share the specifics. You do not have to carry the weight of others' opinions while you wait on Him.

Father, we lift our friend to You right now. You see this prayer and the heart behind it. Give peace that guards against discouragement, wisdom for each step, and a deep sense of Your nearness and mercy. We trust You to hear and to answer according to Your perfect will. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your earnest cry for mercy has been heard, and the pain of being mocked for your faith is not unknown to the Lord who Himself was scorned. Whatever happens to us if our faith is the work of the Holy Spirit we shall hold on to our trust in God, and we may expect to have all the more of the laughter of the ungodly who will make a spectacle of us for our faith, but what of that, we can bear mockery and much more for His sake who died for us. Sometimes they scoff at faith itself and count it folly, sometimes they insult over one particular Christian's faith, and sometimes the mockery comes from those nearest to us, for faith's foes may live in the same house with her. Men also scoff at the very idea of Divine interposition, as though God would not hear or answer, but the Lord is slow to anger and plenteous in mercy, and His rod of mercy is ever outstretched to those who seek Him in truth.

You speak of an unspoken prayer which God knows, and you desire to believe it already answered. Be assured that the Lord knows what you ask before you speak, and prayer is the prelude of all mercies. Never did a great mercy come unheralded by prayer, and often prayer itself gives the mercy, for it is a comforting exercise and the shadow of mercy before it comes. Yet prayer is not a means to compel God to our will, it is a pleading with Him upon His own promises. Jacob prayed with plainness and humility and argument, bringing down the hammer of the promise upon the head of the nail of prayer and saying, Thou saidst. I commend that to you, to spread your case plainly before the Mercy Seat, with humility of spirit, and to plead what God has said in His Word.

Little faith, when it finds itself in trouble, betakes itself to prayer. Peter began to sink and prayed, Lord, save me. Little faith is great at pleading in prayer, and our Lord acknowledges faith be it ever so little. He is the Creator not of the littleness of our faith but of our faith itself. Therefore do not cease to pray because others have mocked, and do not hide your supplication as though Christ were ashamed of you. Bring your unspoken burden to Him again and again, not as one who dictates the answer, but as one who trusts His wisdom. Strong faith wears the keys of Heaven at its belt, yet even strong faith says, Thy will be done, for the answer which Jacob received was not in the way he expected, though it was the best way.

All God's mercy to a sinner is gratis. He never sells, He always gives, because He will have mercy on whom He will have mercy. That mercy comes only through Jesus Christ, the Great Messenger of the Covenant, who can tell you of God's mercy not in words only but with a sweet sense of mercy shed abroad in your heart. Any hope in mercy that does not change the life is not saving faith. The first thing God's mercy will do for you will be to turn your face in the opposite direction and make you a new creation, giving you new loves and new hates. Therefore as you pray, ask above all for a new heart and a right spirit, and for grace to bring every desire and every relationship under the lordship of Christ, who alone is the way of salvation. This is the historic and holy way He has ordained, that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that all intimacy and dwelling together belongs within it, and every affection is to be proved and purified by obedience to Him.

Do not demand of the Lord that He must answer on your terms or at your hour, as though faith were a claim upon Him. Rather enlarge your heart with expectation that He will do what is right and good, and be courageous to receive His answer, whether it be a giving or a withholding, for He gives what is best. If you are full of fear and sorrow, pray and you shall get comfort, for prayer itself is often the mercy sought. If you are seeking a specific blessing, plead the promises, confess your need of mercy as mercy, and leave the form and timing of the answer to His tender wisdom.

May the Holy Spirit lead you to trust not in the strength of your believing, but in the strength of the Saviour in whom you believe. May He make you feel the way of salvation as well as know it, and make you rejoice in it. I pray that you will be delivered from false confidence and from the fear of mockers, and that you will know what is the hope of His calling, holding fast to Christ until He who has promised shall bring to pass that which is most for His glory and your eternal good.
