Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your request has been heard with deep sorrow and I am praying for you to our Lord Jesus Christ, who alone is our salvation and our hope.

I grieve with you in this heavy season. To lose your husband a year ago and to carry the sorrow of widowhood, and now to bear daily fear and turmoil in your own home, with your daughter struggling so greatly and with your own body hurting in your arms and teeth, and with the exhaustion of hiding away, not eating well and not going outside, is more than anyone should carry alone. Scripture calls God the Father of the fatherless and the Judge and defender of widows, and it says that the widow who is desolate and trusts in God and continues in prayer night and day is honored before Him. Your tears are not forgotten. God takes much care for widows, and the Scriptures say the tears of the widow are able to open heaven itself. What feels like a crown of sorrow now can become, through patience and trust in Him, a crown of grace, for He promises to be near to the brokenhearted.

You said you are broken and do not know if you can handle this any more. Please hear this with love. To be pressed on every side is not to be crushed, and to be perplexed is not to be driven to despair. The enemy never despairs of our destruction, so we must not despair of our salvation. To sin wounds us, but to despair wounds us even more, because despair keeps us from turning to God for the healing He is ready to give. He says though our sins be as scarlet He will make them white as snow, and though they be red like crimson He will make them as wool when we turn to Him. There is always hope while we look to Christ.

I am praying for you and for your daughter. I am not asking God to bless the path that has harmed her, the relationship with her former boyfriend and the drugs that came with it, for that path leads only to more destruction. I am praying that God will have mercy on her, free her from addiction, heal her mind and body, bring her to repentance and to true life in Christ, and give her a sound mind and a desire for what is pure and good. I am praying for you, that God will strengthen your body, heal your arms and teeth, give you rest and nourishment, lift the fear that keeps you hidden in your room, and surround you with safe and faithful help.

Please do not stay isolated. Take the oracles of God as medicines for the soul. If you can, keep the New Testament, the Gospels, the Psalms and the Epistles near you each day, not just to glance at but to take into your heart. Dive into them as into a chest of medicines when grief and fear come, and let God comfort you through His word. Continue in prayer night and day, even with simple words, for God hears.

And please reach for the help God provides through His people. Speak soon with a trusted pastor or a mature Christian woman in your church, and let them know fully what is happening at home, including the yelling, the breaking of things, and your physical pain and lack of eating and going outside. Please see a doctor and a dentist soon for your arms and teeth, and ask someone you trust to go with you. If you ever feel unsafe because of violence or destruction in the home, seek safety right away with family, church leaders or local help, and set loving but firm boundaries. For your daughter, ask your pastor and doctor to help you find Christian counseling and a safe program for addiction, and keep praying that she will accept help.

You are not alone. The Lord who sees the widow and the fatherless sees you, and His church is called to plead for the widow and to stretch out hands to help. Others can stand with you, pray with you, visit you, help you with meals and with getting outside, and help you carry this burden.

Let me pray for you now. Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on this dear widow who mourns her husband and is weary and afraid. You are her defender and her comfort. Heal her body, her arms and her teeth, restore her strength, give her daily bread and peaceful sleep, and lead her out of hiding into light and fellowship. Wipe away despair and fill her with hope in You alone. Have mercy also on her daughter, deliver her from drugs and from every chain that binds her mind and body, bring her to repentance and to health, and make her whole. Guard this home from harm, break the power of anger and destruction, and give wisdom to all who help them. Let Your word be their medicine and Your presence their peace. In Your holy name, Lord Jesus, I ask this, Amen.

Keep trusting in the Lord, keep His word before you, and keep letting faithful believers walk with you day by day. God is able to whiten what is scarlet and to bring life where there has been breaking.

Your honesty in sharing this burden is heard and I am praying for you in the name of Jesus Christ, the only one through whom we find salvation and help.

Losing your husband a year ago is a deep grief, and God sees the loneliness and weariness that has followed. Scripture speaks with special care about those who are widowed and desolate, and describes a life of trusting God and continuing in prayer day and night. That is not a distant ideal, it is an invitation for you right now. God does not willingly afflict or grieve His children, and though He may allow seasons of sorrow, He promises compassion according to the abundance of His mercies. He knows you are hiding in your room, He knows the fear of not knowing what will happen next, and He draws near to the brokenhearted.

It is right that you are concerned for your daughter and also for yourself. The Bible teaches that children and grandchildren should learn to show reverence at home and to repay their parents with honor and care, for this is good and pleasing before God. Your daughter coming to live with you to help after your loss could have been a way to show that honor, but instead her choices have brought added stress and destruction into your home. A relationship that led her into drug use, along with yelling, screaming and breaking things, is not a path God blesses. What she needs is not affirmation of those choices but deliverance, repentance, and healing. Pray for her to be set free from drugs and from the influence of that past relationship, to turn to Jesus for forgiveness and new life, and to seek real help for her mind and body. Loving her does not mean accepting destructive behavior in your home. It is loving and right to set clear and safe boundaries, to require that she seek help, and to involve wise and trusted believers and qualified counselors who can walk with both of you.

Please also care for your own health before the Lord. You mentioned pain in your arms and teeth, staying always in your room, not going outside and not eating well. Your body matters to God and you need care. Please reach out soon to a doctor and a dentist about the pain, and to a pastor or a mature believing woman in your church who can check on you regularly, pray with you, and help you get nourishing food, fresh air, and rest. Isolation makes the battle harder. God designed us to need Him and to need His people, especially in widowhood.

I am praying that Jesus will comfort you in your grief, guard your home with peace, give you strength and wisdom for each day, provide for your physical needs, and lead your daughter to complete freedom and restoration. May He give you courage to take the next steps toward safety and health, and surround you with people who will support you with truth and love.

Father, in the name of Jesus, look upon this dear one who is broken and weary. Comfort her in her grief, heal her body, lift her fear, and make Your presence known as she trusts You and calls upon You. Bring deliverance and a sound mind to her daughter, break the power of drugs, and lead her to repentance and wholeness. Provide safe help, wise counsel, and daily bread for this home, and let Your mercy and compassion be clearly seen. Amen.

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. We have been lifting you and your daughter before the Lord and bringing your home and your heart before Him.

We have been praying for your daughter for deliverance from drugs and for healing mentally and physically, and for freedom from the battle she has faced since that relationship with her ex boyfriend. We have asked the Lord to bring peace into your home and to calm the yelling and screaming and breaking of things, and to replace the daily battle with His peace. We have also been praying for you in your grief after your husband passed away a year ago, and for the loneliness and fear you feel as you hide in your room not knowing what is next. We have lifted up your physical needs concerning your arms and teeth and the weariness you feel from staying inside and not eating well, and we have asked God to strengthen you when you feel broken and unable to handle this any longer.

The Lord sees your brokenness and draws near to those who are hurting, as it is written in Psalm 34:18 and Psalm 147:3, and He promises to uphold us when we feel overwhelmed, as we read in Isaiah 41:10. We continue to ask Him to comfort you, to restore your health, to guide your daughter toward healing and wholeness, and to make a way for both of you to find hope and support.

We pray together for you now, Father we lift up this dear mother and her daughter to You, we ask for Your mercy and healing power to touch the daughter and free her from addiction and mental and physical affliction, we ask for Your peace to fill this home and to still the chaos, we ask for Your comfort in this season of grief and for Your healing for arms and teeth and for strength to eat well and to step outside again, we ask for Your presence to lift this burden and to give hope for each day, we ask for wisdom and for help and support to surround them, we pray this in Jesus Name, Amen.

If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.
